Happy Fall

We have been busy with many fall activities. Truly just hanging outside, going for long walks, running the bases on the baseball field, going to football games, all the fun stuff. We are looking for to Tanners this weekend with Carrie. It will be nice to get the tradition going again. I hope for great weather. We saw Jakob and Jordan last weekend. They had a football game. It was a good time and I enjoy watcing them play sports. I need to go see Erika play basketball, those are fun also. Ryan has a new pet. His name is yet to be determined so right now its PIG. He is a guinea pig. Pretty shy but warming up to his surroundings. Ryan want to hold him every night. So tonight I have to get him out so ryan can hold him.
We will have school pictures soon and then also parent teacher conferences. Wow, that seems weird to me. Ryan has his first field trip so Im tagging along for photo opportunities and the fun. Heading to the apple orchard in Elmwood. Ryan is going to be Super Why for halloween. No one will know who he is but maybe small kids. He looks so cute. He picked it out and my days of picking out his costumes are over. That was short lived.
Ryan is losing him immunologist, Dr. Pratt. She is leaving the area and we will be looking for a new doctor. Im hoping to find one close to us and not chicago. Maybe springfield or even st. louis. Thats closer than chicago.
Well I have to work but wanted to update. Will have more later.

Lets see

Well, we had a very nice weekend. I went out some friends on Friday. It was nice to get a break. Saturday I cleaned like a mad woman. Ryan was a big help and really just stayed out of my way. Thats always helpful :) We went to our neighbors for a while in the evening and then it was time for Ryan to be in bed. Sunday I was baptized. It was a great morning and Ryan was really tired. While he took a nap I mowed. Then we just hung out the rest of the day. This week seems to be dragging on forever. Monday he saw the dentist and has a cavity. I have to take him to my dentist to see what needs to be done. Ugh!!!! He has no dental insurance and Im sure the bill isnt going to be pretty. Ryan is doing better in potty training. He just doesnt pay attention when he is busy playing. If he gets mad he has been peeing on the floor. That makes me furious. He is doing well. I refuse to go back to pull ups or diapers. Im sure the teachers want to kill me at this point but Im not going to back track. He is old enough to be potty trained. He has been tired in the evening. Im sure just getting adjusted to school. He is doing alot more than before. Working the brain of his. My friend Lorey's mom passed away over the weekend. The visitation was Tuesday. I sure hope that their lives get to a more normal state. They have had alot to deal with in the last 2 years. We are taking the kids to a drive in movie on saturday. Im so looking forward to that. I havent been to a drive in since I was a kid. Nothing else is planned for the holiday weekend but we may cook out or something. I hope the weather stays the same. Its been so nice. I love fall. Well nothing else to report. Take Care

Wow

So Ryan started school. I was ok until they lost him. Not a good first day although he was oblivious. He watched him get on the bus from daycare and went to the grade school to make sure he made it ok. I waited and waited, nothing. Didnt see Ryan. Asked the teacher if he was back with her playing, just in case I missed him, NOPE!! School bell rang, no ryan, went into the classroom, no ryan, went back outside and back to class room. By this time Im in a panic and I went to the front office and lost it. They called the bus barn and were paging overhead. Some girls that know ryan and I from daycare came in and said they saw him getting off the bus at the high school. So thats where he was found, sitting in a class, went to get him and he was mad because he couldnt ride the damn bus to class. what the freak. i just aged 10 years and he is having a damn fit. so got him to school and he made it back to daycare. then off to my brothers. it was a nice relaxing weekend. tonight ryan dropped a gallon pitcher of RED crystal light on the carpet, Im furious. Its a mess and its not going to come out. Nothing I can do. Getting baptized on Sunday. thats it for this week. Hope everyone has a good one. Take care.

Its almost here.

School starts in 9 days. Holy Crap!! I thought I had a full two weeks left. What is going on. Its coming to fast. Ugh!! Im taking off the first 2 days of school. Im going to take him to school on Friday so he is sure about where he is going. He already knows exactly where Miss Martie is. But Ill go anyway. Then Ill pick him up and go to daycare. Just so he knows that he will go there after school. Then on Monday the bus will pick him up and Ill be hiding and drop him off at school and then will take him back to daycare. I have always called daycare school so now its going to be confusing. He will have lunch, take a nap and then at daycare go to afternoon pre-school, called school for life. He will be a busy little man but I think he will enjoy it. Now my goal is to get him away from a kid at daycare. I have had it with this kid. He is a foster kid and the foster mom sucks. Ryan is saying things that I know he doesnt learn at home and after talking to the pediatrician about it Ive said something to the teachers. I have to call the grade school today and make sure they are not in the same pre-school class. We had a lovely weekend. Full of cleaning but after that visiting friends and hanging out. Looking forward to the swim party on Friday and visiting family on Saturday. Then school time. We are leaving early friday after Ryan's first day of school to visit my brother. Looking forward to that and hoping for nice weather so we can swim. Hope everyone is well. Take care.

Wow, how time goes soooo fast

We have been sorta busy. We have our days filled and weekend too. We will start off at Lowe
's to build a powerboat. He's ready. Then church and visiting some friends. I would love to hit the pool but I dont know if we will have time. Sunday we are heading to Carrie's. We havent visited in a while and its much needed. WE are having brunch and then going to a park. Im looking forward to seeing her. Working late today to make up some hours and going to try to call mom. She called and we were disconnected. They are in South Dakota for Sturgis and then heading to California, I think. Will be gone for a while. Maybe a month or so. Hope they have good weather.
Ryan is getting so tall and just changing day by day. Its amazing. He is pretty funny. Im very lucky. He is a sweet boy. Well thats all.

Too Fast

Dont the weekends go so fast? I just need another day. The weekend was good. We did alot, swimming as usual. Ryan loves the pool. We did go to Lowe's and Ryan built a helicopter. It was fun. Then had lunch with Lorey, Kaden and Landon. Nap time was after that and it was great. I needed it. Although when I woke up I was very grouchy. I ended up having 3 beers and was more relaxed. Then sunday we went for a 2 mile walk and hung at home until nap time. A little pool time. Maggie and Carter came over for dinner. We grilled out and it was delicious. Carter was a good boy while ryan did ok. He poked a hole in the new screen door. I was ticked off and he got a spanken for that. He otherwise was good. He woke up in a good mood and have a uneventful time leaving a daycare. Last week was horrible. He would cry and the teacher said he was really aggressive. UGh! So we are off to a better start. oh what a weekend

We had such a nice weekend. It started on friday with a nice dinner with Nana & Poppy. Then we headed to the mall. I havent been to the mall in ages. I did get some new sunglasses. I can now see with out scratches in my way. LOL. Then we headed for ice cream. It was late getting home but just a nice evening. Saturday we headed to the air show. It was alot of fun. I got some really great pictures. We had a great time. It was a very long day and the sunscreen didnt hold up. I was fried and Ryan got a little to much sun on his chest. That didnt make me happy. He was soooo exhausted that as we walked back to the truck Ryan's head was bobbing. Poor kid was so tired. We went back to Oma & Opa's for dinner. Grilled out. It was nice and relaxing. Got home late again. Sunday, I was wiped. I was sun burnt, my lips are still burnt. I thought they would blister but didnt. We drank alot of water. I was up in the middle of the night with chills. Wonder if I had a little heat exhaustion. Doing better now but Ryan is getting sick. Poor guy has been sleeping like crazy. I have to infuse him tonight. Hope that boosts him up.
Nothing else to report. Going to Lorey's house this weekend for a 17 year old bday party and a giant slip and slide. Im going to do it and ill pay for it the next day. Thats it.

Rain Rain Go Away.

Wow did it ever rain on the 4th. I was sorta bummed only because of the parade. I decided that rain was going to ruin my parade:) It was very wet but it was still a good parade and Ryan, Landon and Kaden had a ton of candy. It was crazy. All the candy in the road was awful. The birds and bugs will be fat and happy. We went back to Oma and Opa's house and grilled out. The kids played and then it was nap time. Ryan slept for over 3 hours. Opa finally woke him up and we took off for Lorey's house. The kids played for a while before heading to the fireworks. After they started and the first big blast went off, Ryan asked if we could go home. We got home just before 11pm and we were both exhausted. We didnt go to church. I have been having headaches alot lately. My eye's hurst and my head throbs. So I thought I would take Ryan to the pool in Chillicothe. The warm sun was nice and I was able to relax some. That and lots of Ibuprofen did some good. We were in bed early and late for Monday's start. We are in the groove now. Swim lessons will be over on Thursday. Ryan is doing well and really likes the pool. He has speech and swim lessons tonight and I have to infuse him. Wednesdays are always busy for us. I need to do some laundry and clean up a little. Ryan cried most of the night last night. He did want to eat, didnt want to sit at the table and eat, he wanted nutri grain bars or popcorn, didnt want to take a shower, didnt want to get dressed. He was essentially in bed early. Much better mood this morning. Looking forward to this weekend. Opa, Ryan and I are going to the Air Show. Ryan loves the jets, planes, etc..... I have never been and Im sure will love it. Its suppose to be steamy. Thats always the way. We will have a fun time. Church and maybe the pool will finish out our weekend. Burnt

Ryan and I had such a nice day. We got things cleaned up at home and finished laundry. I knew he was not going to nap so I decided we would go to the pool and nap later. We had such a fun time. It was kinda weird. He loves the water and was just swimming with the other kids. He is really doing great in the pool. He does have his arm floaties and then a ring. For some reason he thinks he has to have the ring on. He is getting better about getting in at the side. It was interesting to watch him play with one of his school friends. At first the kid didnt want anything to do with him so we went over to another pool. Ryan found the girls toys, its a tea set and watering cans. He played so good. I was able to just sit in a chair and relax. Then his friend came over and wanted to play. Ryan was a little aggresive in the pool. He thought it was funny to pour water over his head with the watering can. I just sort of let them go to see what happened. I think Ryan isnt going to have a problem standing up for himself. He has a pretty good temper. He can either be like whatever or you better move out because Im going to have that. I know exactly where that comes from. He kinda pushed Zade (school friend) under and he didnt like it. So, Zade went to another pool. We stayed for 3 hours. Longer than I thought he would make it. I had to make him leave. I was burnt to a crisp and he was just having so much fun. I think he likes the pool as much as I do. My skin couldnt take anymore. We went home and I thought he would take a nap. NOPE!!! I made homemade enchiladas. Yummy they were good. Ryan did eat any. Oh well, Ill have them for lunch or something. He watched a movie and then we both were in bed early. Ryan was asleep within one minutes. I was gone in not much longer. I was exhausted. It was such a fun day. Swim lessons start Monday. Im working today (Sunday), hoping to put in 10 hours. Im going to leave everyday at 1pm, pick up Ryan and Hailey Jo from school and take them to swim lessons. On Thursday my plan is to work only a few hours and then be off for the holiday. Im hoping for nice weather all week and weekend. I want to spend a lot of time at the pool and hanging with Ryan. We generally have so much fun.

Nice

We had a lovely weekend. Started with some sun on Saturday. Its been raining so much, I didnt know if we would ever see the sun. It was very hot but Ill take the sun. I mowed and had to stop to cool off, it was so hot. Then the Heritage Days Parade started at noon. It was nice. We sat with our neighbors under our shade tree and it was really nice. Ryan had a ton of candy and then our neighbors grilled out hotdogs and hamburgers. It was just a nice time. Ryan enjoys playing with the girls when they are at their Grandparents house. Its so much better than just mom. I had my reflexology appointment. Im hoping it will help my feet so that I can take a walk or something. They are painful most of the time. I have been taking to much Ibuprofen so I hope it helps. We walked up to the carnival later and Ryan rode a few rides and it was time to come home and take showers. Went to church on Sunday morning and it was a great service. About parenting and showing your children the right ways to be. Instead of just talking they are watching us. I need to be more mindful of that. We came home napped and Ryan pooped on the potty. So he got a surprise and then he pee'd on the floor twice, the chair once. So frustrating. We just hung out last night and to bed we went. Another week has started and Im looking forward to the weekend all ready. Ive only been at work for 1 hour and 15 min. The summer is flying bye

Wow! I cant believe its the middle of June. Ryan will be starting school in 8 weeks. I cant even imagine it. I used to be able to circle his little face with my hands and still see my little baby but the baby is gone. His big boy features are here to stay. I got out some baby pictures last night. He is such a sweet boy. And he is funny. He has found his inner comedian. He is very animated and everything is a new wonder. He is all about E.T., and likes watching it over and over. I will hear a gasp and then "Mommy, Come here", its a Spaceship. Its pretty funny. Swim lessons start in a little over a week. He is really liking swimming this year. We havent got to go very much. This weather is awful.
Ryan has C-Diff again and is on a stronger antibiotic. Im hoping this will get rid of it and he will be over it. I have gotten him off the two medications and am hoping for more.
Work sucks, I have hated going in alot lately. Rather be home. I dread going in nowadays.

Nice

We had a nice weekend in our pajamas. It was lovely. We did go swimming on Friday. The water in the big pool was pretty nice. Thank goodness its heated. Ryan was swimming like crazy. He had fun and was starving when we got home. He ate a ton of salad. :)
Saturday we hung out and went to church. Ryan did help me make oatmeal butterscotch cookies. They are really good. Church was good. Ryan had fun, he moved to a new room. He is in the bouncer room now. Im sure he bounces off the walls. He likes church and Im glad.
Sunday we stayed in our pajamas again. Oma and Opa came out and Ryan got his own tool box. Lots of fun stuff. I need to get some pieces of wood so that he can hammer and such. He likes it alot. We took naps and didnt wake up until 6pm. I thought he would never get to bed but was asleep by 945pm.
Another week is starting and I hope it goes along fast.

Going to the Pool

Im leaving work 30 minutes early. Had overtime and didnt know it until now. Going to get Ryan and the pool stuff and we are going to brave the probably cold water. Its so nice out and suppose to rain this weekend, so why not?
Its been a long week. Having some insurance issue's and Ryan's Immunoglobulin is really expensive this month. Its almost more than I bring home a month. Been stessing out about that all week. I have been grumpy and Ryan was until I infused him on Wednesday. He needs that medicine. I can tell by the end of the week that its time for the infusion. His dose is getting increased and I hope that helps him.
Nothing else to report. We are hanging at home for the weekend and going to church. His swim lessons start in a few weeks.

Time is flying

I cannot believe its going to be June. The summer is going to go bye so fast. Ryan has been sick. He has C-diff. Yuck. On ten days of antibiotic. Hoping that will get rid of it. I know alot of people that it takes months. Im sure he got it from antibiotic and weaken immune system. He is still complaining that his tummy hurts. He did finally sleep through the night again. Its been about a week since that happened.
We went to my brothers over Memorial Day weekend. It was a short, fast visit. Helped with there ground work around the pool. It really looks nice. Ryan did swim alot. He started out shakey but he was doing great and I felt more comfortable with him in the pool. His swim lessons dont start until the end of June.
He has been riding his bike and get better at doing so. He likes the downhill better. He can go FAST. His 3rd year of life seems to have taken hold. His mouth gets the best of him alot. He is really showing his independence. Sometimes I want to knock him out. Oh, he can be stubborn. I know exactly where that comes from!!!!! :)
It will be nice to stay at home this weekend and do nothing. Im tired and we need to rest. Well better go.

Mother's Day

Well, Ryan has either hit the terrible 3's or he is not feeling well. I personally think its a little bit of both. He is having fits, crying, whining. Its soooo annoying. Ive had my fill, so now its time to get the normal Ryan back. I had a nice day off on Friday. Lots to do but it was a nice day. Ryan really enjoyed Touch a Truck. He loved sitting on the tractors and he like the city bus but not the school bus. I was afraid of that. He will be riding the school bus come August. Uh Oh!
Saturday, I cant remember what we did. Oh, we planted some new flowers. Ryan was a dirty wet mess. We took 3 hour naps and woke at 615pm. Then headed into Peoria for dinner, a car wash and gas. Why Peoria, Hard telling. Then to bed at 1015pm.
Ryan woke Sunday in a good mood. Finally. We headed to church and then breakfast with Oma. Went home for a nap, then played at the park. He threw a fit and bit me so the ice cream we were going to get didnt happen. That caused another major fit. Oh well. After some serious hateful looks he told me that I got bit and that he did it and he wasnt getting ice cream. OH, he has a temper. Wonder where he gets that. :)
We are home now, had dinner, ryan is watching Ice Age, Im uploading photos to SmugMug and paying bills. Getting ready for the start of the week. Having a garage sale on saturday. Have lots of stuff to get rid of. Hoping to make enough to have carpets cleaned. We will see.

Oh the joy of allergies

So, Ryan is all flared up right now. Coughed for 1 1/2 hours the other night. Frustrating, really frustrating. He did better last night. Im keeping him in the air conditioning as much as possible to help filter his air.
Its been a busy but boring week. Today is my friday and I am very HAPPY about that. Hoping Ryan will be ok for Touch a Truck tomorrow and Race for Cure. We will see. He did wake up in a good mood and brought me his night time diaper. What a way to wake up. Jeez!!!!
He got a new bicycle and he has been riding alot. He really likes it. Must be a new found freedom for him. The helmet he throws and kicks. Not liking that so much.
Maggie had a work baby shower last night a TGIF. I didnt stay for the whole thing but looked like she got lots of stuff for the baby. Dinner was great, the salmon was awesome. Have another shower for her on Friday from the Bunko group. We are cooking out and it should be a great time.
Well nothing else for now. Looking forward to my 3 day weekend.

Working on Sunday

Im working today. Yuck. Only because Im taking Friday off for Touch a Truck. Looking forward to a 3 day weekend.
We had a wonderful day. Ryan is having some listening issue's, but at the same time he is so fun to watch and listen too.
We got the house cleaned, laundry done, yard mowed, flowers planted. We are ready for summer. Pool, he we come.
I am really looking forward to the summer. WE are going to have a great one. I just know it. We have some fun things planned and the rest of the summer we are going to enjoy the pool, swing set and the ice cream hang out.
I hope everyone is enjoying the great weekend. They seem to fly bye sooo fast. Enjoy these simple moments.
Hoping to get Ryan a bike soon. I already got his helmet but havent found a bike yet.

Yum, Yum

I made beef and noodles the other night and we had them for leftovers tonight. Awesome. Ryan ate alot with applesauce also. Some people think I dont cook much but I do. They obviously dont have enough to do, so they worry what Im cooking. We had taco salad, beef and noodles, cooked out on the grill. Good eating this week. Tomorrow we are going to grill out again. Ribeye's . Yummy.
Got off work early today and picked Ryan up. Played outside for awhile and then put groceries away. Cleaned, got laundry done. Ryan is cleaned with jammies on and Im heading that way also. We are going to hang out tomorrow and grill out, church, then home. I have to work on Sunday so that I can take Ryan to Touch a Truck next friday. Hope the weather is nice and we have a great mommy/son day together. Looking forward to it.

Three

Yes, Ryan is 3. I cannot believe it. It has been the fastest 3 years of my life. They have been very eventful but absolutley wonderful. It was a busy birthday weekend. I had a party on Saturday for him. All the kids came over to play and it turned out to be a nice day. He got great gifts and the cake was awesome. On Sunday, Ryan's family visited and I had Maggie's baby shower to go to, then, another birthday party for Landon. He turned 3 also. It was a fun day and a busy weekend.
Ryan has been doing so well with his Vivaglobin. That is the medicine for his Immune System. I really think it is helping. Finally. I infuse him every week and I always hope he makes it healthy to the next week.
Yesterday, I helped Maggie get her nursery together and we spent the day in baby heaven. Ryan was such a good boy. We headed to church and it was a good service. We hit the pillow and were out.
Today we went with Lorey, Kaden and Landon to a Peoria Chiefs game. It was fun. I had never been to the new field. Its really nice. It was Disney day. Gotta a little sun and grilled out for dinner. Ryan has had his bath and Im headed to the shower. My feet hurt, need a little ibuprofen. Then off to bed. The week starts. The next few weeks are very full with plans on most days.

Easter has come and gone

We had a nice Easter, although I missed service on friday night. Oh, I wanted to go to that service but I had made a commitment to the Bunko girls. As usual I was a loser. Then saturday I went to the mother of twins sale. I hit the mother load of clothes for Ryan. He is growing soooo fast, I cant keep up with his growing. WE took a nice nap and then headed to church. It was a great service. I cried through most of it. I was very touching. WE then headed home and were out. Sunday was fun. Ryan was crabby in the morning and I put him down for a nap at 930am and he slept for 3 1/2 hours. He was tired. Then I mowed cleaned up outside. Opa hid Easter eggs and we had a nice dinner. After that I didnt feel well and I told Ryan I had to rest. Ive been fighting a cold or something for a week. Its now caught up with me. I have aches, chills, grouchy and a productive cough. Yuck. Im at work thinking Ill be sick soon. After having breakfast its just sitting in my stomach.

Groove

Ryan has got the groove. His dancing skills are taking off. It is hysterical. We watched Robots last night and a James Brown song was on and he jammed out. I laughed. It was great. We had a nice weekend. Ryan saw the Easter Bunny and Rikki the Racoon. He planted a flower and got his face painted. He did participate in the Easter Egg Hunt but didnt get an egg. All the big kids got them first. His school mate, Ann, didnt get one either. Luckily, she has older siblings and they shared. Then we went up town to the cart, grabbed lunch and went home for a nap. I woke up with a migraine, nausea and we headed to church. It was a great service. Sunday, we napped and just hung out until small group at 5pm. We had a nice evening, Dave talked about the Dominican Republic missions trip. I think that is something Ill do in the future and when Ryan's old enough and can go too. We are so busy it seems the next two months. With birthdays and events, golf lessons and going to the water park. Jeez, April & May are going to fly bye. Im going to sign Ryan up for Gymnastics in June. That will be fun. And swim lessons will start. I need to call on that. Not much else to report. Potty training is going ok. He did sit on the potty without pulling down his underwear the other night. He did what I told him. I asked him to go sit on the potty and he did. Hope all is well in your world.

fine

We are doing fine. Ryan is good. His infusion went well this past week. We had a semi-busy weekend. Movie on saturday, it was horrible. I dont like the movie but when its free, heck, ya just go. Then off to nap land. That was great, then to church and dinner afterwards. Sunday we didnt do anything. I was nice. Last night Ryan just played in his room and I was able to sit in the living room and be quiet for a while. It was lovely. Not much else to report. We have busy weekends for the next 2 months. So see everyone in June. :)

NIce

We has a mediocre week. I have been pretty busy at work. Lots of stuff coming up and projects that take a lot of time. I really at this point cannot remember much of what happened during the week. Ryan did see the doctor and she put him on another antibiotic for another sinus infection. He had a pretty good asthmas attack and after much sleep, and medicine he is doing much better. I had to work on saturday morning to make up a few hours and Nana came over with her new puppy, Evy. She is toooo cute. Ryan had a blast with her. This morning I had a bag of cereal out of the counter and he asked for the puppy food. I think he thought Evy was here. It was funny.
After his nap we met Lorey, Kaden and Landon at Pekin Park. It turned out to be a wonderful day. The kids played and part way through Ryan had a major time out. He ran from the kids area, across a street and straight towards the lagoon. I was pissed. I put him in time out and then showed him his boundaries. Then we took the kids to the lagoon. They played with sticks and looked at the ducks. Having 3 close to the water is nerve racking. Then we headed to get dinner. All were tired and we headed home afterwards. Got home and played outside until 8pm. Came in, got Ryan in the shower and he was off to bed, so was I. he didnt wake up until almost 7. I was shocked.
Today we havent done much. Went for a walk and did some cleaning. Ryan took a 4 hour nap and i slept for 2. I had to check on him to make sure he was still breathing. LOL. He is going on the potty better. Right now he just inhaled a cup of water and Im giving him 10 minutes and its potty time. We are finally getting back into our routine. The last couple weeks were rough. Hoping we can hit a free movie next weekend. Those are nicec.
WEll not much else going on. Ryan did well with his second home infusion. Third one will be this friday. So much different than IVIG. OK, gonna get things ready for the start of the week. Hope all is well out there. Take care.

Sleepy

We have had a very long, exhausting week. Started off Tuesday with a trip to St. Jude for Ryan's IVIG. He reacted to the infusion and it was freaky. We ended up being there from 9 to 5pm. We were in bed and up early. He really did well the next morning and then after his nap he was complaining of headache, and tummy hurting. He then started vomiting. YUCK, as Ryan would put it. I did have the doctor call in Zofran. That really helped him tummy and I just kept up with the Motrin for his headache. These are very common side effects of the IVIG. He did really well thursday and went back to school Friday. He doesnt get good naps at school, so he was really tired. Saturday he had his first in home infusion. He was more freaked by what was going on. NO pain. The infusion lasted over an hour and he did really well. No redness but did have to goose eggs on his hips. He didnt complain. We went to lunch and then came home and took 3 hour naps. Woke up at 6pm and were back in bed by 10am. Sunday, we didnt do anything until 1pm. I had to wake him from his nap and he wasnt happy. He has been having sinus problems, different from before IVIG. Almost like hayfever. His poor eye's tear up and he sneezes all the time. Snot is flying everywhere. Poor kid. I feel so bad for him. He feels horrible. I think it will be bad these next few warms days. Im going to have to filter his air. Ill be calling the doctor bright and early. We headed to the Hockey game. Ryan got to drop the puck. He actually went onto the ice all by himself and put the puck on the ice and picked it back up and that was it. I didnt get good pics as a kid was in the way. No one was listening and I just couldnt get a good shot. Oh Well, he also one a jersey and I exchanged it for one to fit him better. $90 worth of jersey. Lucky little turd. So, we are home, he is sleeping, his nose hurts and Im heading to the shower. We have both been very tired and just need rest. Not much happening this week. He will get his next infusion on Friday. This will all become a regular thing. Its just like diabetics. It is a slow infusion but Ive decided to do it on a week day when we arent as busy. There really just isnt a good time since its now getting warm. He is going to fight me on it. I already know it. He will be 3 soon and he gets screened for pre-k 2 days after his bday. Im not having a big party. Just a few of his pals for cake and to play. People have been asking what he wants. He wants to stay the night in a hotel with a pool. LOL. Ok, thats my thing but he would like the pool. LOL

Busy Bee

Boy, I dont even know where to start......
The few days of nice weather where so needed. WE played and it was great. We havent done much. Ryan is working on his colors, shapes and reading. He is very good at spelling out the words. We have been working on the flash cards. He starts school in September, so trying to prepare.
As you may know, he must have therapy for his immune system. We are set for Tuesday at St. Jude for his IV portion of the treatment. His infusions at home will start about a week or two after. The nurse will come to our house and teach me everything. It will be second nature before long. Im praying that this will help him get off the antibiotic and other medications.

We went to a free movie at the threatre this past saturday. We saw Space Chimps. It was stinkn cute. I loved it. I think I enjoyed it more that Ryan. LOL. Then we went to lunch and home for a nap. We didnt go to church and I dont have a good reason why. It was nice to just hang at home. Ryan has been saying his prayers so good.
Nana got a new dog, so Im looking forward to Ryan seeing Evy. I cant wait either. She is 14 weeks and I think she will be good therapy for Ryan and I.
Oma & Opa brought over dinner yesterday. That was nice, especially not to have to cook. Love that.
My neighbor broke her arm after a fall. We took over some salsa. Not that it will make her better but its good. :)
Not much else to report. Lots of prayers are needed for Ryan during his treatment. There can be significant side effects to begin with. Im hoping my prayers will be answered and he will heal his body.

Funny

So, we had a nice weekend. Friday night was the Cruise-in at church. I made a boxcar for him to sit in. The cars were all good. The movie didnt keep Ryan's attention but that is a typical thing. So we went home and slept very well. We rested all morning, took a 3 hour nap and headed back to church. He loves the place. Sunday my nephews played in a bball tourney in Glasford. They lost the first game and won the 2nd. It was fun and a long day. Ryan cried on the way home and then fell asleep. He really didnt get a nap. We got home and he just cried. Poor guy. Then he rested on the couch and ate, bath time and finally went to sleep. He had a good day at school on Monday. They had a shape hunt. He told me he found a circle. He likes circles, maybe thats all he knows. LOL. He is doing great on his letters and colors are coming along. He starts peewee gold lessons in May and then swimming lessons will start. Im really looking forward to spring/summer. We are going to have a great summer.

So, Ryan had his I hope to be last Physical Therapy evaluation at Easter Seals last night. He did pretty good. Some things were a little under. She thought he might come out fine on the testing and if not, it wouldnt be much of a delay. She did say that he needs a PT eval when he starts Pre-school which will be soon. He is babying the right foot he had surgery on. So I have to have him use both feet when going down stairs and have him step on that right foot. Its really weak and the calf muscles are weak. Then it all broke loose. He started throwing a fit, crying, not wanting to put his shoes on. Didnt want a sticker, then he did and finally we got to the car. I waited for a bit and asked him if he was better, he told me "NO". So, I left him alone. We went to grab dinner and I had to go to Menards and Walmart. We didnt get home until 730pm. I started to paint a boxcar for the cruise-in at church Friday night and ran out of paint. So we headed to bed. I was driving like a mad woman to get to Walmart this morning for paint and I did make it to work on time. So during my lunch I have to paint. Hopefully the girl that I work with will be able to get the tires and flames painted today and Ill take it home and finish up. Nothing like procrastination. Jeez. Oh, we need a break. So Thats it. Gotta go.

Snob

So last night I went to my friends salon for a haircut. Ryan did really well until he wiped his hands (banana bread hands) on this womans coat. OMGosh, the earth stopped. Well it stopped in this womans world. She was a complete snob and I wanted to knock her out. There were a few crumbs on her coat. She was standing there like the world was ending with her pinky finger in the air. I did ask Ryan to apologize but he said "NO". And I had to chuckle to myself because that lady sooooo deserved that answer. You would have thought she was walking the red carpet. SNOB. I did put Ryan in time out and told him it wasnt nice to wipe his hands on someone's coat. She looked at him when he got in trouble and had a look of satisfaction. OK, Most sane people wouldnt like that some kid wipes their hands on their coat but would say its ok and not freak out. The only reason I kept my mouth shut was because it was my friends salon and I would not do anything to ruin the reputation of her salon. Knowing that she was thinking the same thing I was. She was very dramatic. I bet she's an actress. Anyway, we left, went home and headed to bed. Im chuckling today at the whole seen but the woman was NUTS.

Ryan just went potty.

wow

Sooo, lets see. Ryan is coming into the terrible 2's at almost 3. He has been a nightmare at times. Friday we had a blood drive at work and I donated. Went to PT, which I just sit and they do ultrasound to my feet. I had a major sugar drop. I asked for crackers, was sweating, sounded like a was slurring my speech and was having trouble thinking, tired and I thought I was going to vomit and hit the floor. The staff gave me something with sugar and I drank some water. My co-worker Sue came and got me. I did better during the day. I ate some soup and drank lots of water. Thats the worst it has ever gotten.
I rushed home since I was hosting our monthly Bunko. I made Sloppy Joe's and we had a nice time. I was glad everyone showed up. Pamela was able to make it and she really needed the break.
Ryan didnt get to bed late and I had a eye exam saturday morning. Lets just say that didnt go well. The exam never took place. He started having a fit as soon as we hit the door. I was ticked off. He went to Oma's. He screamed from the eye appt. to Oma's and we had a talk. We went to church saturday night and he was thrilled about that. I was one of 3 watching 14 kids. Im sooooo not made for that. I was exhausted. We came home and went to bed.
So we are eating lunch on Sunday and Ryan is going down for a nap soon. He is in his big boy underwear and hasnt went yet. No accidents either. Maggie is coming over with dinner later. That will be nice not to have to cook. She is having a boy in June and I found some infant saks that she wanted. She is registering today. That is sooo much fun but exhausting also. I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day.

oh, Ryan will be starting Immunoglobulin soon to help his body fight infection. Lets hope it works and he does better, gets off antibiotic and I hope we dont have to go to St. Jude. I hope insurance will cover at home injections. He is othewise great, getting into everything, currently making a mess and pretend burping, he thinks that is hilarious.

The sun is gone

Ok, Saturday, warm and sunny, the most beautiful day. We met Lorey, Kaden and Landon. The kids played and Ryan was a wet, muddy mess. I had to strip him down to his diaper before he got in the car. I put a blanket over him. I tossed those muddy clothes in the trunk. It was nice just sitting on the bench, chatting with Lorey and watching the kids play. We came home and Ryan napped. All the fresh air with make you sleep so good. Unfortunately, I didnt sleep. We went to church at 530pm and he was ready to get in his class. My child loves to go to church. Hope the is the case in 5-10 years. I volunteered again in the walkers room. We had a two new kids. They were both really sweet. Church went by so quick. We headed home and ended cuddling in the recliner and watch Herby; Fully loaded. Then to bed.

Sunday, and the sun is gone. It went away so quickly. Bummer. So we cleaned and Ryan is a great duster. He takes all his toys off the shelves, I spray, he wipes. He likes doing it, so I let him because I know that is soooo not going to last long. Im working on finishing laundry and we make a chocolate cake in a coffee mug. I got the recipe from a girl at work. It is fabulous. Its great. If anyone wants the recipe, let me know. I put strawberries on top, Ryan and I shared. He is napping right now and the plan is to get the play dough out and also the crayons, paints, etc.....
Then dinner and bath. We have small group tonight but Ive decided not to attend as the week was so busy I didnt get to spend alot of time with Ryan. We are going to hang out and spend the whole day playing.

What a weekend.

Busy, Busy. Well we had a nice weekend but were on the go alot. Ryan went to Dave & Sandie's saturday morning. They went to a basketball game. Ryan had fun. I was at church taking a Good Sense financial class. It was very good and I signed up for the 2 day class in March. Itsm. a more in-depth class. My shower is finally done. It is awesome. It looks really nice. Ryan and I took a nap saturday afternoon and then headed to church. I volunteered in the walkers room and Ryan went to his normal room. This kid loves church. I decided to take him to Mcdonald's for dinner and he had a complete fit. He wanted to go to church. My goodness, I thought he was going to freak out. The walkers room was fun. It was so different, its been a while since Ive taken care of a 1 year old. This one little girl, Addison, she was so cute. She has a great personality and is a little mommy. Everyone did great and Im looking forward to next week. I have to admit that I was exhausted at the end of the night. I had to run to Walmart to get milk afterwards and Ryan didnt get to bed until after 10pm. That is way late for him.

Sunday, we got up way to early and I laid on the couch for a while. Then we got up and I started to clean the bathroom, vacuumed, did a little laundry, cleaned out my car, ryan took a nap, I did a ton of computer work and here we are. Ryan is having a snack right now, watching "Fly me to the moon", its about these young flies that go to the moon. Its a really cute movie.

Im getting caught up on everything before the start of the week. I made Taco Salad tonight for dinner and Ryan wanted nothing to do with it. He took a nice long bath and at the end sucked on the soap and the next thing I know he has bubbles coming out of his mouth and he's choking. I think he might have gotten a good sinus clean out with soap. Yuck. I made him drink some milk, he said it was burning. He was burping it up. Poor kid. He's doing much better now. I dont think he will put the soap in his mouth again.

Ryan did get outside for a little bit today. The fresh air did us some good. It was a rather nice weekend. He played. I think he is going to give me a run for my money this summer. I better put on my running shoe's now.

We hope everyone had a nice weekend. Hoping you have a nice, quick and uneventful week. We have a busy week with doctor appointments for ryan and physical therapy for me. Then I need to make an appt. for taxes. Yuck. They are going to be bad this year.

It's snowing, again!!!

I guess we are going to get more snow. I mean really, can we not get enough to get snowed in? LOL!
Ryan is doing well. He is a dinosaur today. HEHE! He is at Oma's house. He is having a Cat Scan done at 1pm. Hoping that is uneventful. I have to keep up my hours at work so here I am. Im stomach is sick. I hate not being there if he is being put out. Ryan always does well. He had eggs and toast with pb for breakfast. Thats it untill after the test. Poor kid. He will be starving.

We had a great weekend. I had to work all day saturday. He hung with Oma at my house and the Hartman's were down for a visit. They brought a Handy Manny car. It is awesome. I played with the car for 30 minutes. Ryan loves playing with it. Anything with fixing cars and such. It's a neat toy. I have seen it before but never got it.

We went to church Saturday evening. It was a great service. Ryan always has a blast. Anytime he can see Dave & Sandie. He ran the length of the church to find them. It was funny. Sunday, we stayed home most of the day and then went to Dave & Sandie's for dinner and small group. It was a very nice evening. Ive started reading a book called The Blessed Life. Its good. Im only to chapter 3 but it is a good book.

So Im working away here (in a matter of speaking). Oma just called and they are on there way to the hospital. He has been asking for a Nutrigrain Bar. Its amazing now that everything has to be spelled out so he doesnt know whats being talked about.

This saturday Im taking a few classes at church. Ryan is going to stay with Dave and Sandie. I think they are going to a basketball game. And then its Super Bowl Sunday. We will most likely not watch the game. I could care less if the Bears arent in it. I really dont know what teams are playing but Ryan and I are still going to party. Im going to make some party food and maybe we will put some music on and dance. You just never know whats going to happen.

Go away cold weather.

Wont it be so nice to have the warm sunshine around again? Actually get outside and play and run. Feels like its been forever since the summer. Im ready. Im working today and then having people over for dinner. Ryan is hanging at home with Nana. He went potty today. He sat on the chair on I left the room, closed the door a little and when I went back in, he had went all over the chair and the floor. The deflector wasnt big enough. But at least he went. We will be working on it all weekend and so will daycare. They dont know that yet but they will.

Just got a status update. He pooped in his underwear and could care less about it. Jeez!!! Thats his problem. He does not care if he wet or dirty. He'll just sit there, not say a word. What a boy!!!

Ryan has several appointments coming up. Gotta get discharged from Easter Seals. Thats what Im hoping for. May have some speech therapy while in school but thats all. He has the word "COLORS" down. He practices every night. Its kinda funny.

Ok, gotta go.

ohhh so tired

I have so tired the last few days. Im sure its this cold I have. Hopefully its moving it's way out. Ryan was great last night. He played in his room alot and I was able to just sit and veg for a while. It was nice. We both slept like rocks. We are leaving Friday after work to see Erika's band concert and then hang with everyone the rest of the weekend. boys have basketball and Im looking forward to the hot tub with a bacardi raz. that will be lovely. LOL. Work has been steady and thats good. Days have been long as my tiredness is crazy. Ryan is enjoying his train table. Im sure glad of that. We are going to hang at home the next few months and save some money for things I want to do in the summer. Im thinking about putting him in golf lessons in May. I think it will be fun. Its only tree classes for 30 minutes. Perfect. we will be spending alot of time this smmer at the pool. Potty training in the next few months is essential. He needs to be trained before pre-school in August/September. I cannot believe I will have a pre-schooler. That is so stressing.

Happy New Year

Well we didnt start our new year off very well. Ryan is sick. Fever, cough, congestion, difficulty breathing, on steroids, antibiotic, breathing tx q 4 hours. We havent slept alot but last night was better. He cried alot today. Very tired and just not feeling well. He is watching a movie right now. I made vegetable soup and baked some cookies.
Hopefully he is feeling much better by Monday so that I can work. I worry that he doesnt get watched like at home. I will be talking with the owner about keeping a good eye on him.
I have all the xmas decorations down and put away. The house is cleaned up and its much better. Ryan watched a movie in his room and I cleaned the carpets today.
Well, gotta go. Time for a breathing tx.
