Memorial Day 2007

Well, We had a good, fast and sick weekend. Drove to my brothers house on Friday. Ryan was in a good mood for only having less than one hour of sleep all day. Once he saw the kids thats it. He's in. Saturday the boys(Jakob/Jordan) had baseball games. They did really well. Jakob wasnt feeling well. Ryan, I think he had a good time. He found rocks and was watching the kids play. We went to Mcdonalds for lunch and went to my sister-in-law's(April) parents house. We hung out and then went to get some flowers for my dad's grave. We got a nice arrangement in a nice flower box. Once the flowers get nasty we can reuse the flower box. Then we went back to the house and hung out and had dinner. Jacked around for a while. I wasnt feeling well Saturday night so I went to bed and all night I was up and down. Nausea. Sunday, nausea. I was sick. Yuck!!!! I busted my butt to get home. It was awful. Ryan and I slept about 4 hours. It was awesome. I wish I could sleep like that every night. I did some laundry and put his bike trailor on my bike. Monday we went into Peoria and I ran some errands. I got a slip and slide and other junk. Bought some flowers and am going to plant those this weekend. So anyway hope your holiday was good and will write later.

Its Friday

Yippeeeeeee!!!! The weekend starts in 8 work hours for me. The car is packed and ready to go. Ryan kept looking at his high chair in the back seat, like what the heck is it doing here. Oh, and Elmo was sitting next to it so he is all confused. I must have upset him because he is pooping like crazy this morning. HAHA!!!! Looking forward to a few relaxing days and hope you all get them also. Enjoy your long weekend and wear your seat belt and dont speed and dont drink and drive.

Spaghetti

Well, I think Ryan's favorite food is spaghetti. He ate a ton of it last night. I don't think he even made a sound for like 20 minutes. Finally, He talked and when I looked his plate was empty and that's my cue for more. We have had a busy week. Work has been stressful for me. I have alot going on. I'm in charge of Relay for Life and we are doing a fundraiser. I was suppose to be helping out but Ive really gotten no help. Then I go home and do the normal stuff but I'm trying to get these stupid plant starts that someone gave me to live. They look like their dead but I keep watering them. So now its Thursday and I forgot to give daycare some thickener so I have to run out at lunch and get them some and get stuff for the fundraiser and get gas and go to the bank and get plastic for my stupid window that wont go up and theirs other stuff but Ill stop there. Ryan is doing well. He has been sneezing alot. Probably some allergies. Not sleeping good thru the night right now. I hope that changes soon. Otherwise Ill be going to bed at 730am also. We are getting everything packed up to take to Eric and Aprils. It feels like I'm taking the house. We are looking forward to the long weekend. Jakob and Jordan has ball games on Saturday. Ryan hasnt been to one since the same weekend last year. It so weird because he wont sleep thru the whole thing this year. He will want to get down and check out everything. The pools open this weekend. Yippee!!!! At our pool they have aerobics on Tues. and Thurs from 7-8pm. If I can find a sitter I might take the class. To bad they didn't have swim lessons at that time also. That would be perfect. So only 16 more work hours until the weekend. Yes, I'm counting down. I hope you all have a safe and fun filled holiday. It's only Tuesday

Ok, I am ready for the weekend. I feel like after only two days into the work week, Ive been here 5. I swear that people are, oh I dont know, like raising a bunch of kids. No one ever wants to go out of their way to do anything. Its so frustrating. I feel like I try to help in any way I can and maybe I need to change that. Im sick and damn tired of going above and beyond to help people out or causes and get nothing in return. I dont even mean for me just to help out different people that need it. It really pisses me off. Ok, well now Im done bitching. Ill get back to my work now.

Im really looking forward to having 3 days off. I need the break.

Good Weekend

Hi everyone, just wanted to put some pictures on from the weekend. We played outside alot and planted flowers, cleaned house, did laundry, ya know all the fun stuff. Hope everyone's weekend was good. We are heading to my brothers for the holiday weekend. The kids have baseball games. We did this last year also and when I think back Ryan was only a little baby. WOW!!! Its amazing how things have changed. Instead of sleeping like last year through the games he will be excited and want to play with the baseballs. He will be excited about all the kids also. Ryan had surgery

On Monday Ryan had his adenoids removed and tubes put in his ears. He is doing OK. Today is his first day back at daycare. I talked with daycare and they said he wants to be held alot and is clingy. Poor boy!!! I'm sure he is going to be exhausted when I get him. He has been sleeping alot. Its suppose to be nice this weekend and we are staying home to relax. Will play outside and go for a walk and of course take naps. I bought a roast to put in the crock pot on Sunday. That's his favorite. Happy birthday to Oma. No other news. Hope all is well. Race for the Cure weekend

Well, Ryan was involved with his first Race for the Cure. We didn't walk this year. My friend Carrie ran and did well. We were there at 645am. It was a little chilly but warmed up quick. We walked around and Ryan had his face painted. You will see the pics. Carrie went for the run and Ryan and I got some scarfs that Ford gives away each year and Quilted Northern Toilet Paper had the Plinko game. I won a spa bag. I really wanted to Toilet Paper. Mom said isn't it amazing how your priorities change. Ten years ago I would have wanted the spa bag. So I lost out on the TP. We met up with Carrie and headed to the Shoppes at Grand Prairie. That's were the Ride for the Cure is. They had a lot of booths set up and Zooks was playing. They are a local Irish band. Really good. We sat out by them for awhile. Carrie and I both got a massage. A chiropractic place was there and having a massage was nice. We had lunch at Bar Louie and had a cool waiter. His name was Walker but I mistakenly called him Wilson. He was fun. We went to Bergners so Nancy could find a outfit for a wedding. Needless to say the outfit looks awesome on her. Then I dropped Carrie off at her car and Mom and I went to Holmes shoes to see if they had some to fit Ryan's fat feet. They did. They have extra wide, extra extra wide and so on.....
He got a blue pair of stride rights and a white tennis shoe. That kid has fat feet. He was a good boy and thank god he is so easing going. He took a couple of cat naps during the day. He did have an episode at lunch. We sorta had our 2ND temper tantrum. He wanted to eat a napkin and I took it away and of course he didn't like it.

We went to Oma and Opa's after that and they kept Ryan overnight. I stayed at the Pere Marquette for free. Easter Seals put me up there. They do that for parents of kids with disabilities. They room sucked. It was the nicest but the bed rocked. It was comfortable. I slept like a rock. Mom and Ryan came down on Mothers Day morning for breakfast. I heard the knock on the door and when I opened it Ryan was sitting there in his stroller with a card. It was funny. We had a good breakfast. I checked out and went to mom's. We cooked out later for lunch. It was such a nice day. Hope everyone had a good Mother's Day.

Busy Weekend

Hello, Well its been a long week for me. I dont really know why but it has. Tomorrow is Race for the Cure and we will be there at the crack of dawn. Supposedly they have a bunch of stuff to look at and do before the race. We are not walking in it. My friend Carrie is going to run it. After that we will get some breakfast/lunch and watch the Bike for the Cure people take off. I have the night free so I am meeting a couple people out for drinks and then hopefully lots of sleep. Then its Mothers Day. My 2nd!!!! Not doing much. Spending time with my mom. Monday Ryan is having tubes put in his ears and maybe his adenoids taken out. Its an outpatient surgery. Other than that I hope that everything stays quiet.
Exciting new in August. My employer is taking us to FunCity in Iowa. So Eric, April and the kids are going also. Ryan is staying home. He's to little. Im looking forward to that. I cant wait to ride to Go-Karts. They have a indoor/outdoor pool, water slides, laser tag, arcade, golf, et.

Temper Tantrum

Well Ryan had his first tantrum in a public place last night. We went to dinner and I didn't have his diaper bag. So I made bid out of the napkin. He didn't like it and threw a fit. His face turned red and he started to cry and it got louder. I laughed. It was pretty funny. Then I just took the napkin off and he was quiet again. I remember people telling me to pick my battles. I lost that one. Oh well. It was a 30 second episode and for his first that's not bad. He is doing good otherwise. I spiked his hair today and he has on a little basketball outfit. He looks so cute. I'm having a mommy day. I just want to cuddle him. I used to have these days more often but they have gotten better. I just want to go pick him up and go home and cuddle. Those are the best days. I look forward to when he is older and can make it through an entire movie and we can cuddle up with blankets and pillows and have a feast on the floor and watch movies. Especially on a rainy day. I think I'm just tired. I haven't been sleeping well the last couple of days. Well that's all.

Swing

Well, Ryan and I have a swing out back now. We can sit out in the evening and swing. I thought maybe I would rock him to sleep some night out there. He likes to be outside so it shouldn't be a big issue for him. Oma sat with him last night on the front porch. He was very interested in the cars going by. Yesterday was his Uncle's birthday and today is his Opa's birthday. Lots of stuff to do in May. Race for the Cure is this weekend and we are going to walk, then go see the motorcycles take off. Then I get to stay at the Pere Marquette for the night. Easter Seals has a program that put parents up in hotels or dinner for the night. So I will be resting. It will be nice. Then of course its mothers day on Sunday. Happy Mothers Day to all you MOM'S. Hope your day is very special.
Ryan walked along the couch last night. He took several steps but was whining about it. He's progressing right along. I still think it will be awhile before he walks. We will be in the hospital on May 21st and 22ND for a test. I hope the testing will be done after that. I have some other pictures but don't have time today to upload so Ill do it some other day. Party

FYI:

I'm having a party on July 7th. I will be on a small vacation then and thought it would be fun. I have a big enough yard to set up Volleyball or Boccie ball or Carrie you need to bring the bean bag game. I thought we could cook out. Everyone bring something. A covered dish or something. I will provide tea, water and lemonade. If you want alcohol bring your own. The school is across the street and there is playground equipment and the pool is right behind that. The rock island trail is a block away. I would say around 3-4 pm. I'll know more as it gets closer. Its Paige's birthday. Paige is Lindsay and Benj's daughter. She will be here from Oklahoma. So put it on your calendar. Everyone is invited. Kunkel, Moorman side, Payne side, friends, friends of friends, just let me know if you can make it. I wont send out invites. This is an informal get together to cook, drink and shoot the shit. Now that I have a lawn boy to mow Ill have to have him mow a day earlier for the party. If anyone has Boccie ball or a volleyball net let me know. I have some lawn chairs and plenty of blankets so if you don't want to sit on the ground bring a chair. Ill keep the air on so some people wont sweat to death. I do have alot of shade in the back yard and Ill probably get a slip and slide or a sprinkler to cool off. We could go back and forth to the pool and the sprinkler. Put it on your calendars people. Also a way to see our new dwellings.

New haircut and new trick

Well Ryan got a short haircut on Friday. His hair grows so fast I thought it best to go really short. It looks cute. This weekend we went to some garage sales and found a huge picture to put in the living room and a trailer for my bicycle. It one of those that hooks on and Ryan can sit and ride along. They are really expensive in the store but I got one for fifteen dollars. I did get some clothes also. They had a huge sale in Dunlap. Pamela, mom and I went Coop's for lunch. They have really good food. Then I had to get home to mow the lawn. I now have a lawn boy. I kid was on his riding mower and it broke down in front of my house. I let him use my phone to call his parents. We got to talking and he said that he could mow my yard for $10.00. So every saturday he will mow and I told him where I would leave the money just in case I wasnt home. HIs name is Kenny. He seems like a good kid. I finished laundry and finally sat down at 8pm. I was exhausted.

Sunday, Ryan woke up at 530am and we went back to sleep at 800am. I was still tired. We rested all day. Ryan's new trick is that he is standing. It happened and I barely realized it. So here are some pics. Have a good weekend. Im already looking forward to the weekend. Look at the pics below.

My Harley Man!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a hot date with my Harley man last night. He was looking quite cute. Ryan had a better night last night. We played hard. He didn't like me laying my head on the floor so he kept grabbing my hair to lift up my head. It hurt. I would pull. I was laughing though. Yippee, we will be at the garage sales early tomorrow.

Tired today.

Oh, I'm tired. I had a hard time staying awake while driving to work this morning. I actually stopped to get a soda which is very unusual for me. Ryan woke at 430am. I wasn't ready to get up yet. We did sleep a little longer in the recliner. Since we have moved I have slept really well through the night. I don't toss and turn. I actually sleep really hard. Its been great. I'm not scared to leave my windows open and could probably even sleep without a fan.
The last two night Ryan has been very cranky. He is getting more teeth and really has been a nightmare. He cries and whines and fusses. Lord, Ive had enough of that. Last night he was crying because I wouldn't let him play with the remote and finally I looked at him and raised my voice a little and told him "NO" that he couldn't play with it to play with his toys. He stopped crying looked dead at me to see If I was serious and obviously could tell by my tone and look that I was, he turned around and went and played with his toys. I know he hasn't been feeling well and has been sleeping alot. Grouchy!!!!
This weekend there are alot of Garage Sales and we will probably hit some. Otherwise we aren't leaving the house. I have to mow. That sucks. I need to find a lawn boy. It wouldn't be that bad if I get out there and get it done but with Ryan if he's sleeping I have to check on him and its stop and go. Does anyone know what the going rate is for a lawn boy? Anyway, looking forward to the weekend and hoping to find some good deals at the garage sales. We really don't need anything but I wanted to look for some outside toys for Ryan and I would like to find a table for my laundry room. Oh, I also hope to find folding table and chairs. I guess I'm having Xmas this year and I need more table space.
I will try to get some updated pics this weekend. I need to call his hair girl and he already needs another hair cut. It grows so fast. So I think I'm going really short but not buzzed. I'm not ready for that. HOPEFULLY HE STARTS FEELING BETTER AND ISN'T SO CRANKY. Of course they tell me at daycare he was great. Figures!!! I'm learning fast that your kids are always better for someone else.

Long weekend

Hello, Havent written since last week. We had a pretty good weekend although Ryan has been running fever. Last night it was 102.3. We went to see the surgeon and they are going to do some testing. The 10th he will have a Nuclear Med test that will tell if he is aspirating and then in June a test to see if he still has reflux. Lots of stuff coming up. He has been cranky but sleeping good through the night.
I planted my first tomato plant this weekend and some flowers. I want the place to look just how I want it but it will be a process. Im so impatient. Mowed the lawn for the first time on Saturday. That sucked. I had to rest. Oh, Im sure Ill get used to it. Well thats all for now. Working late today to make up some hours. Will try to write again soon.
