Happy New Year

Ryan and I had a great relaxing weekend. We did absolutely nothing on Saturday and Sunday Ryan went to his first hockey game. He had is face painted like a tiger. He was so cute. I think he enjoyed it. We went to Oma and Opa's after for dinner and they kept him over night. I slept so good and I didnt have dark cirles under my eye's like I have for the last few months. I have to work a few hours today and then Ill go pick him up and we are staying home for the New Year. I dont like to be out on this day and its suppose to snow and get bad. I live to far out to drive back and forth. Im going to make a special little dinner and I think Ill make it a picnic in the living room and we can watch Polar Express. He likes seeing Santa. We will be playing basketball I know as its his favorite thing. Ill have to get his Spider Man pj's wash so that he can wear those.

It's all over already.

I cant believe Christmas is over already. It goes by so quick. We had a great few days off. Maggie watched Ryan on Saturday so that I could get a little shopping done and then we went to Chilli for lunch. Sunday we went to Oma/Opa and hung out. Christmas Eve we went to chuch for the Xmas program. I was fantastic. Ryan did really well until the last 10-15 minutes and he needed to get up and walk. We went out of the Auditorium and a bunch of little kids were running around. I had Xmas breakfast at my house on Xmas morning. It was nice and relaxing. Ryan was fun opening gifts. His favorite was his basketball hoop and race car track. We really had a relaxing time and we enjoyed the day. We even took naps in the late afternoon. Thats always nice. I won tickets to a Rivermen Hockey game so Im going to take Ryan to his first hockey game. I think he will like it except for the loud fog horn. Ill have to cover his ears. Hope everyone's Xmas was wonderful and have a Happy New Year. Ill try to get pictures out tomorrow. Take care

Today's the 21st

So Ryan is 20 months today. I cannot believe in 4 months he will be 2. The time has gone so fast and he is growing up so quickly. I try to enjoy every moment. I just love having my sweet baby. I miss holding him and watching him sleep and all the little sounds he makes. The baby smell is even gone. Well , thats all I wanted to write. Again, Merry Christmas

Its over

Well, The cast is off. The foot looks wonderful. Its straight and the incision looks great. His foot is very sensitive and he didnt want to walk on it barefoot but with shoes he does okay. I kissed the bottom of it and he about jumped out of his skin. We went to Oma and Opa's after for dinner and took a bath, put his pj's on and we went to drive through the Festival of Lights. He loved it. He oohed and ahhed. By the end he was so stinkin tired he was out. He slept all night, Thank goodness. They had breakfast for the parents at school. Ryan and I had a donut and juice together. It was nice. Now its almost ten o'clock and I better get to work. I did send out some pics of his foot and of him in the snow. I am so looking forward to 5 days off. Its going to be nice.

Yippeeeeee

Today is the day Ryan gets his cast off. Im excited and nervous. I will freak out if his foot is turned or turns when walking. Oh, I pray its almost perfect. He is so sweet. We have a thing we do, we brush our teeth and I pick him up and we both look into the mirror and say cheese. He shows all his teeth. It is so funny and cute. We have a new favorite show, Clash of the Choirs. I love it and Ryan was dancing and clapping his hands and turning in circles. He couldnt walk much after that. He was sooooo dizzy.

I think I might have posted he got his cast off on Monday, but I was wrong. Its today.

Better Attitude

Well, we had a nice weekend. Ryan's been so much better. My brother and sister in law where up over the weekend. The kids and April stayed at my house with the dogs. Ryan loves the dogs. He was up until midnight Friday night. He watched Polar Express with the kids. He has never been up that late. He was enjoying himself so I let it go. WE all slept, well the kids slept. April and I froze to death in the living room. I was so cold. We had pancakes for breakfast and went shopping then lunch. Later we have an early Xmas dinner and opened gifts. Ryan got a little people's barn and animals. It makes sound and he is loving it. He also got cloths and money for shoe's. He gets his cast off today and I'm taking him to Stride Rite to have him fitted for some decent shoe's. I want to make sure that little foot stays strong. Sunday we had to run a few errands and then we came home and I shoveled snow and Ryan helped. He fell in and wasn't to happy about it. I got his sled out which is actually a Xmas present but I'm having trouble waiting for Xmas. I get so excited. So we played and then went in and he cried as I was putting dry clothes on him. I picked him up and he was out. He slept for 3 hours. I should have taken a nap also but I did laundry, read the paper in peace, made dinner, watched a movie and just sat and relaxed. This is something I haven't done in 2 years. We had a nice weekend. He laughed and played. Only a few tantrums. He didn't even cry when I left him at school this morning. He was playing with Lily when I left. That's his best friend at school. Which is odd since they bite each other. Tonight after getting his cast off we are going to the festival of lights. I hope he enjoys it.
I'm ready for the week to come and go as I have 5 days off. We have a graduation party for a friend of mine from work that is graduating from Nursing School. I might go see my friend Carrie in Bloomington and we can visit and Ryan will love it because she has cats. Then we have the Church Xmas program on Xmas eve and I'm having a Christmas day breakfast. I cant believe its all going to be over so quick. I hate that. I probably wont take my tree down right away. I hate having to take all the fun decorations down. I did rearrange Ryan's room and took out the recliner because on his birthday he will be sleeping in a big boy bed. He told me a few times yesterday that he went potty. So we will try after the holidays to see if we can get started potty training. If he doesn't do well then Ill try again in a few months. I'm already thinking about his birthday. I need to start looking at full size mattresses and I want to get him a swing set. The one I want is a Toys R Us. I never realized they are so expensive. I like the plastic one's. I think they are step 2. They have the slide and swings and a place to crawl on and under. So maybe they will be on clearance soon. I doubt it. He may have to wait another year. We have such a large yard I could buy a ton of toys and it still wouldn't be full. I think I'm going to get a family pass this summer to the pool. Then we can do lessons and go whenever. Its cheaper to do it that way.

Busy Weekend

Well its Friday and I'm so glad. I'm sure Ryan will be also as he is clinging to me alot lately. He has had such a hard week. I feel bad for him but I cant hold him all the time. That's the ways of a single mother. He did okay last night. We played alot and he took a long bath. He ate pretty good last night. This morning was a nightmare. He cried the entire time while trying to get him ready to go. Hopefully with Erika, Jakob and Jordan being here this weekend, he will be occupied playing with them. They are good with him and any kids. I'm looking forward to visiting with my brother and sister-in-law and the kids. The girls are going out for pedicures and Xmas shopping tonight. I need some form of relaxation. My hives are starting to go away. I guess Ive been stressed out. I'm not itching as much with the medication but I have battle wounds. My legs look horrible. Oh well, having Ryan is worth it. I hope to get over to the Festival of lights this weekend and to Folepi's marketplace. We need to see Santa. Well we did at Walmart but we need to go sit on his lap and have the official picture taken. I'm so excited also, Nana should have the quilt and sham that I'm going to put in Ryan's room. I cant wait. At his second birthday which is just a few months away I am putting him into a big boy bed and I'm going to redo his room . Can you believe that he is going to be 2. All the moms in my pregnancy group at work will be shocked as then there little one's are not far behind. Its always weird because Ryan starts it, being the oldest, then I think Tori is the end. I like have all the kids be close in age as it is helpful to ask what they are doing.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Ryan will be thrilled to be a church this weekend. We have our Xmas program at church on the 24Th. I'm going to let him sit with us and not take him to discovery land(that's bible school) He loves music and such so he will be so excited.

Still going

Well the bad attitude has persisted into a week now. Okay so this is a phase. I hope to come out without bruises on the otherside. He does alright at times and then there is a major meltdown. He has not gotten one good report from school this week. He's hitting and not eating. Everyone keeps telling me this is a phase and it looks like they came out okay. We are celebrating xmas this weekend so it will be eventful. Going to do some xmas shopping on friday alone. Thats a good thing. I need a break. Nothing else to report. Hope all is well.

Long week

Wow, it was one of the worst weekends to date. Ryan was not happy about anything. He's got a cold. Stuffy nose, cough. He bit me and spent alot of time in the corner. Hitting was a major thing yesterday. Grouchy. On Friday he got his first Naughty report from school. It said he was Naughty and Nice. I hope its better today. He woke up at 1am and was coughing so I did the TX routine and put him in my bed. Its just not going to happen. I hate having him in my bed. So I went to the recliner in his room and he was snoring. The moment I put him on his mattress, AWAKE!!! I told him it was bed time and let him cry. He last about 20 minutes, then out cold. I had to wake him up this morning. He was tired. I hope he goes to bed early tonight. I'm going to get the markers and paints out so maybe that will occupy him for awhile. He wont like that we are having Vegetable soup for dinner. I made it yesterday and he wouldn't touch it. We will see tonight.
Looking forward to his cold being gone. I hope to get him to the lights and to see Santa this weekend. I am actually hoping to get iced in tomorrow. I really don't want to work. Actually I don't mind work. I am just so exhausted that I would like to sleep for 12 hours straight and then Id hope to feel better. Ryan gets his cast off on Monday. A week from today. I hope its healing well and that he will be running in no time. I have to try on all his shows to make sure they fit.
Then I'm off to Stride rite for some one's that are good. I want to put some good shoe's on his feet. Alot of money has been spent on those feet. They are worth a million! LOL. Most expensive feet Ive ever seen. LOL.

Too Funny II

Okay, so Ryan has been in a better mood this week. He is having a good time at daycare and seems very happy to be among his friends. He is walking on his cast now and its so funny to have him walking back and forth. He cracked me up the other day as he took all the clothes in a drawer out while I was in the shower. I was very dramatic when I found it and his eye's were as big as saucers. He knew he was in trouble. The evidence was there. He looked like ET walking to his bedroom to pick up the mess. I was in the bathroom in tears. It was so funny. He is still not eating well. Each day is a little better. He is eating well at school. It seems like he is having less fits/tantrums. Maybe Im speaking to soon and should keep my mouth shut. I probably just jinxed myself. Ryan gets the cast off on the 19th.

He is going to his first basketball game tonight. A friend from work, Cassie's, son is playing in Princeville tonight. We are going over to the grade school to watch and then will have dinner. Should be an exciting night for him. I hope it wears him out so he'll sleep through the night.

Well, Im going to start potty training after the holidays. Ryan is getting a potty for xmas and he has been telling me at times when he's gone, so Im going to try. Start with a week of just sitting on the potty. Then over a weekend Im going to have him wear underwear and just see what happens. I assume Ill be doing alot of laundry. I hope I can find Elmo underwear. OMG, those will be so cute and at the same time weird to see him wearing them as its another sign of aging.

Too Funny

Ryan has been quite funny lately. His little mind is a sponge. He is walking with his cast now, getting into everything, oh gotta go, will write later.

Thanksgiving.

We had a nice long 4 day Thanksgiving vacation. We had a nice dinner and then played Taboo. Ryan chased the dog around and was probably close to having a few less fingers. He thought being nipped at was funny. He did well until pictures in his tux. He was over it. Saturday Eric, April and the kids came up for a visit. They brought Dori and their new puppy, Trooper. He is so cute. Ryan was again chasing the dogs. We hung for awhile and had lunch. I had to go into town for Xmas lights as some of the one's I bought were broken out. I finally got those up around 8pm Saturday night. I was suppose to go to Pamela's for Rodney's Bday party but Ryan was sleeping and didn't wake up until 1am. Rodney turned 30!
Sunday, I absolutely cannot remember what we did. I think we stayed home. I have no recollection. Monday Ryan woke up with a 101.5 fever and cough. I thought he was warm over the weekend but when I took his temp there never was one. I took him to Opa's house and his pediatrician saw him that morning. She told me he sounded croupy and that it had to run its course. He then was off to the Orthopedic office to have a short cast put on. I chose red for Xmas. His incision looked good and everything was healing nicely. He has a little boot to walk with until he gets this cast off on December 19Th. We went home that night and I know he didn't feel well. I ended up putting him in bed with me as I need sleep. He coughed and tossed and turned. I hate having him sleeping with me. He is a bed hog. Anyway, he woke up after 5am and I laid hand on his chest and it was caving in as he was struggling for breath. I freaked out and turned on the light and looked at his chest. It was horrible. I could put my fist in the indention of the retraction. He sounded like a seal. I called the doctors number and it automatically goes to the OSF nursing triage. She listened to him breathe over the phone and told me to get him in the bathroom for 20 minutes and run hot water and let him breathe the steam and then to call back. I did that and she told me she did that as to get him some relief before she told me to get him to the ER.
Headed to OSF and a nurse heard him breathing and had him back in a flash. Low grade fever but by the time we got to the room it was rising. They put O2 on him and gave a breathing TX. That didn't help. He was drinking and hadn't had any fluids or wet diapers. So it took 3 sticks and finally they got fluids going. He perked up quick. After several hours he was struggling so hard that I told the nurse I was freaking out about his respiration's. They gave him a dose of steroids and within an hour I noticed the difference. They admitted him in isolation and if he did well over night we could go home. We were discharged the next morning. He started drinking. He wouldn't eat and was very whiny and didn't want to sit, stand, or anything. He was just unhappy. He only wanted Momma!!!!!!
Last night he did OK. He coughed alot and cried alot. I ended up putting him in bed with me again. When he is feeling better he is going back to his bed and it will be hell getting him there. I hate to sleep with him. He thinks he has to be right up against me or turns sideways. Good gracious the kid is everywhere when sleeping. He was in a good mood for about 15 minutes this morning and then whined until we got in the car.
Opa may take him to the farm show today. He will love that as he likes tractors. I told them to make sure he gets sleep and fluids. I hope he is better soon. I think besides Croup he has an upper respiratory thing going on. He sounds so full. This has been the most scary thing by a long shot of all the things Ryan has endured. I thought if his airway was closed shut and all I could do was compressions and the ambulance people couldn't do a trach. OMG. I would freak. I would be on the radio telling those damn ER doctors to give me instuctions on how to perform a trach. or to open the airway. It was scary. I freaked out and Im not a freak out kinda person. I usually react later. So needless to say, it sucked, I hope it doesn't come our way or your way.
I hope he continues to get better everyday.

19 months already

Can you believe it. He will be 2 in just a few months. Lord it has gone so fast. He was up at 400am this morning. I hope he gets out of that habit really soon. He still isnt eating well. Its hit and miss. My only concern is I dont know if its just because its a normal pattern or because of the reflux/hernia. Thats why he's up so early because he's hungry. I try to give a snack before bed but he wont eat. Christina from work went to Menards and got a little rocking chair and a sled for Ryan and her kids for Xmas. Too Cute. She said they have a ton of toys. I think I have to go. Just to look, right? LOL.

Hope everyone's Thanksgiving is a good one. To those of you going out on Black Friday, Good Luck. I have to go out for an eye exam but then we may have a lunch date and then home. We may venture out Saturday or Sunday to pay a visit to Santa.

Ho, Ho, Ho

That's the new Ryan is learning. He has HO, HO but not the third one yet. Then Ill move on the Merry Christmas. One, two, three is going pretty well also. Although he's only saying the sound. Tractor, Trick or Treat and Uh OH!!! are his best words. He barks like a dog when he see's one. Wont say Puppy. He has also mastered head banging. The kid is crazy. He will imitate whatever dancing motion I am making. Too funny. He sure does like to dance. His new fav cartoon is the Wiggles. Well I guess that's not a cartoon but he's sure doesn't make a sound when their on.
We are officially one week post-op. Only two more to go before he can walk. I only work 3 days next week so hopefully the time will go fast. This week has been slow so far. I have been exhausted so that's probably why. Not much else to report. I was driving past the movie theatre the other day and it has been forever since Ive gone to a movie. I need to do that soon. With popcorn and a soda.

I hope everyone is getting prepared for Thanksgiving. I am. WE have our plans and this weekend I'm starting to put up our Christmas stuff. I want the lights to go on the night of Thanksgiving. To me that's when Christmas officially starts. I already have Ryan's gifts wrapped but I'm going to get more because it's not much. I know, I know. Its not the amount that counts but jeez I want the underneath of the tree to at least be full. Children's place is having a sale so Ill go there and get some things. I have asked some people to get StridRite gift cards for Ryan as when he gets the cast off I will have to get some good sturdy shoe's that fit. Double extra wide for his flintstone feet.

Long days/night

Ryan's surgery went well. His cast is annoying him and me since he is heavy enough without it. My arm muscles are sore. He is fine except for he is not eating and sleeping well. Throwing fits. Man alive the terrible two's are going to be terrible. I cant believe its almost Thanksgiving. Im really not in a holiday mood. I hate that because I absolutely love Christmas. I will probably start busting out the xmas decorations this weekend so that everything can be lit on Thanksgiving. Ill have to borrow a ladder to hand the outside lights. I need to get some more outside decorations as I have a huge yard and there will be nothing in it. Well, I have to work so Ill write more later. Ryan gets a short cast on NOvember 28th and will be able to bear weight on his leg. Thanks God. Take Care.

630am tomorrow

Well, tomorrow is the day for Ryan's foot surgery. WE will have to be at the hospital at 630am and surgery is suppose to be at 8am. I hope to be in a room by noon. I hope everything goes well and that Ryans pain will be controlled well. He has been a typical two year old even though he's only 1 1/2. OMG!!!! Fits on the floor. Wants to do everything by himself. I dont think we will make it to two. I think I need to start timeout for not listening. I let him run free and do things so he learns but good lord is he independent. Yes, I know!! He gets it honestly. We will be in the hospital Thursday and Friday. He will have the cast and pin for 3 weeks and then they will remove the pin and put a water proof cast on for another 3 weeks. The next two months will be very stressful. If anyone wants to bring over some Bacardi Raz, feel free. Ill be up for a drink most of the time. LOL. He usually does well. I need to get some books and toys packed and I hope that he has some sweats that will fit over the cast.

Hey

Well, Ryan had a nice Halloween. He got the hang of going to the doors and getting a treat. He was great and fun. He also like passing out candy. It was alot of fun. Yesterday I went home early(mental health day) and did some laundry and pushed his car down to school. He just woke up and when I went out the door he was looking for the car and was excited that he got to drive his own car home. We played and finished laundry. He swept the leaves with his broom. I swear the kid is obsessed with his broom and dust pan. He's a helper!!!!! So then he was trying to scare me and he would run so I couldn't see him and then pop out into the bathroom door. I would act scared and he would run and hide and do it over and over. Too funny!! We read books and he watched me paint my toes and I was struggling with getting some polish open and every time I would try he would grunt like he was having trouble getting open himself. The kids is a stitch.
Tonight is the work holiday party. Actually get a 3 year service pin. It will be nice. Then working tomorrow. Sunday we leave for Chicago. Ryan has an appointment at the University of Chicago on Monday. Everyone have a nice weekend.

Prayers

I forgot to write in my last post about a little boy that just had a bone marrow transplant. He is having a rough time right now. He has sores in his mouth that are bleeding and possible pneumonia. His family are waiting for his white blood cells to start growing. I hope this will be soon as to start fighting against the bad cells and infections. His name is Elijah. He is from Iowa and is currently in Minnesota. I have been following him on Care Pages. It is a website that families can keep intouch as someone is being treated. I really dont know how I got onto his site but I began reading one day and now I follow everyday. There are some of the sweetest pictures of this little guy. He started treatments for cancer almost 2 or more years ago. They had beaten it and then it came back. He is a chunk and has a sparkle in his eye when he smiles. I know Ryan has problems but I always remember it can always be worse. I am thankful for the issue's we have to face and think of Elijah struggling for his life!!!!!!!! We dont have it bad at all. Keep this little guy in your thoughts that he is healed. May God wrap his arms around this little boy and take away the pain.

Happy Halloween!

Its been a long day waiting for Halloween night. Ryan was to have a party at school today. Hopefully that was fun and his costume isn't a mess. Trick or Treat hours at home are from 5-8pm. The fire station starts their party at 430pm with hot dogs and such...... We will head down there first and then to neighbors houses and that's it. He's usually in bed by 7pm. I would like to keep him awake a little longer. He was awake at 445am this morning and 345am the day before. That's a little much. He yells DADA when he's awake and ready for breakfast and it only gets louder the longer you wait to go in. So I don't wait to long because I swear the whole block can here him yelling "DADA". Ryan is a Care Bear this Halloween. Last year he was a Spider. He originally was suppose to be a turtle but the outfit didnt fit. I bought it several months ago and its a onsie type thing. He is too long in the torso. So a girl here at work had a blue Care Bear and she gave it to me. We have been practicing saying Trick or Treat. He does pretty well. Trick sounds okay its the treat that comes out "TA TA". He has been pointing to his bowl/plate and saying more if he is still hungry or wants something. He was saying Hi to every car that went by but now he doesn't. He will Oma and Opa and Mommy. He will also say Tractor if I cue him too.

He has been growing so fast his Care Bear outfit is almost to small. When he got shots last week he weighed 31 pounds and was 34 inches tall. Its always different everywhere we go. I stick with the pediatrician measurements. He is in the 90Th percentile for height. Thank God!!!!!!!! I really hope he isn't short. I would be happy with 6 foot. No matter what he is probably going to be a big boy. He's built like a moose. And strong as heck!!!!!!!

Great Weekend

We had a very nice weekend. Saturday, My mom, Nancy, Christina, Victoria, Pamela, Madalyn and Debbie went to the Women's Lifestyle Show. It was fantastic. We then had lunch and took off shopping. I bought a new winter coat, its been 8 years. I love it. Ryan and I hung out and played in the leaves on Sunday. We visited with the neighbors and I mowed the lawn, well, the leaves. We washed and cleaned out the car and napped and it was a good day. I so enjoy those days. So I think Ryan might have allergies to grass and leaves. I did when I was little. He itched his eye's and nose. So now Im at work and Im looking forward to Halloween. Hope everyone's is good.

Ryan and the Festival

Ryan did have a good time at the festival! He is so funny. He sat on the ground and listened to the story and participated in the hand gestures. He even moved closer to the story teller, and raked up leaves as directed. Inside at the gym, he rode the little car things, and played with balls..he does so love balls. It was really funny...he was watching some older kids make baskets and he got a basketball and stood under the hoop and raised the ball over his head like he was trying to figure out how to get it up there! After we got done at the gym, we headed to Oma's so Ryan could take a nap. Oma and Opa were not home because they are in Florida. As soon as I pulled into the drive Ryan exclaimed, "Oma-ma!". He is a case! I just can't get enough of this sweet little boy! His Nana loves him!

Good Morning

Hello all, the weekend is over. It went fast I know. I worked on saturday and Nana watched Ryan. They went to a fall festival in West Peoria. Ryan decorated a pumpkin and had his picture taken. He played and ate and had a good time. We hung out on Saturday night and he slept well. Sunday he ate all day. He kept pointing to the kitchen and would pull out his chair. He must be growing. Jeez!!! He was hungry. We went for a walk and came back and I made biscuits and gravy. We both took at 3 hour nap. It was fantastic. I carved the pumpkin and he had no interest in it whatsoever. Then we walked over to the neighbors and Dave and Ryan played while I talked with Sandy. Dave made us homemade ice cream. It was so good. We had dinner and took bathes and read books and Ryan was ready for bed. Not much to report. This week we see the surgeon on thursday and friday he gets his 18 month shots. YUCK!!! Saturday is the womens lifestyle show. So Ill be heading to that and then work. Thats it. Talk later.

I forgot to tell you that Ryan is perfectly square. He is 32 pounds and 32 inches tall. LOL. He is symmetrical. I think he's going to be a short husky kid.

Yesterday afternoon Ryan had a cookie swallow. He drinks barium out of different cups to see if the liquid is penetrating his airway. Out of all the cups he penetrated his airway on all of them and aspirated deep and shallow. So they told me he has to drink out of an open cup and or a straw. No sippy cups for Ryan. We see the surgeon again Thursday. We will discuss all the test results and talk about repairing the hernia and the Nissen which is failing. We got home a little earlier than normal and I think Ryan thought it was the usual time as he was ready for dinner. That's our normal routine. So then we played outside and he helped me with laundry and got the broom out to sweep. He took a long bath and threw a fit the entire time i was getting him dressed. Then we read books like always. Then he went to bed. He slept from 630pm to 530am. Wow. I was in bed before 9pm. Oh it was great. I slept like a rock but I'm still tired today. How annoying.
Tonight we are having pizza and we are vegging out. No laundry to do, no cleaning. The only thing that needs done is to mow the lawn. Maybe Ill get to that this weekend. Maybe the grass will die soon. LOL!
I have to work tomorrow. That completely sucks. I have to keep my hours up. I cant have short paychecks. So Ill be sitting here tomorrow. But there are some things I need to get done. Hopefully the day will go fast. After that nothing. I plan on doing nothing.
Ryan's hair is growing so fast. He did fall this week and hit his forehead on a tricycle. He has a big scab, so again we wont be able to get pics taken. I want to take him out and put him in his tux and get pics soon or before surgery. Hopefully that will happen.
Ryan is going to a fall festival tomorrow with NANA. There are going to be all sorts of games, etc... I hate that I don't get to take him but he will have fun with NANA.

NO GOOD NEWS

OK, I HAVE EDITED THIS AND SOME MAY HAVE ALREADY READ THE POST BUT I PUT SOME INFORMATION IN THAT WAS GIVEN TO ME AND HAPPENS TO BE WRONG. YIPPEEE. I KINDA QUESTIONED IT YESTERDAY BUT I WAS GOING TO CALL THE NURSE AND TALK TO HER TODAY. MY GUT INSTINCT WAS SOMETHING WAS OFF. THE DOCTOR TOLD ME HE LOOKED AT THE CT BUT RYAN DIDNT HAVE A CT. I THOUGHT HE MEANT THE MRI THAT HE HAD DONE A YEAR AGO. I LOOKED AND IT WAS NORMAL BUT SOMETIMES WHEN LOOKING AT THE ACTUALY FILMS THEY SEE THINGS THAT THEY ARE SPECIFICALLY LOOKING FOR. HE TOLD ME HE HAD SOME SMALL ABNORMALITIY. NOPE!!!! HE DOESNT. THE DOCTOR TRIED CALLING ME LAST NIGHT AND THEN I JUST TALKED WITH HIM AND HE TOLD ME HE WAS THROWN A BUNCH OF STUFF AT THE SAME TIME AND THAT HE THOUGHT THE CT WAS OF RYAN. NOPE. SO HE CALLED TO APOLOGIZE AND TO LET ME KNOW THAT HE IS FINE. HE DOES STILL SEE SOME SLOW DEVELOPEMENT IN HIS SPEECH AND TO WAIT FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS TO SEE IF IT COMES ALONG. IF NOT THEN A SPEECH EVAL. BUT OTHERWISE HIS BRAIN IS NORMA. HE DOES HAVE LOW MUSCLE TONE AND WE WILL HAVE TO FIX HIS CLUB FOOT BUT TO HAVE A NORMAL BRAIN. OH, I NEED TO CELEBRATE WITH A BACARDI RAZ. THAT MAKES ME FEEL SO MUCH BETTER. I COULDNT DECIDE IF WHAT I WAS FEELING WAS DENIAL OR WHAT. I HAD THAT FEELING IN THE PIT OF MY STOMACH THAT RYAN DOESNT HAVE THOSE PROBLEMS. I DO KNOW HE IS A TAD BIT BEHIND BUT NOT BY MUCH. I AM GRATEFUL TO THE DOCTOR THAT HE IS SO THOROUGH. I AM TRULY GREATFUL TO BE ABLE TO HAVE A GREAT PHYSICIAN OUT OF THE ONE'S THAT HE HAS. AND THAT HE CAUGHT HIMSELF IS A GREAT THING. I WAS JUST GETTING READY TO CALL THEM WHEN I GOT HIS MESSAGE.
I THINK THIS IS A GOOD LESSON FOR EVERYONE THAT WE HAVE TO BE PRACTIV IN OUR OWN AND FAMILIES HEALTHCARE. THIS IS NOT THE 50'S WHERE WHAT THEY SAY GOES. THE MEDICAL FIELD IS A FAST PACED EVER CHANGING FIELD NOWADAYS AND THESE PEOPLE THAT ARE IN THIS INDUSTRY ARE HUMAN AND HUMANS MAKE MISTAKES. ITS A RISK THAT WE HAVE TO DEAL WITH. JUST LIKE ANYOTHER RISKS WE FIND COME ALONG IN OUR LIFE. NOT TO SAY THERE ARENT YAHOOS OUT THERE BUT BE INVOLVED AND QUESTION THINGS.
OH, IM SO MUCH BETTER. MAYBE ILL PUT THE U OF CHICAGO VISIT OFF. I DONT KNOW. ITS SO HARD. I SO APPRECIATIVE OF THE EASTER SEALS PEOPLE. THEY HAVE HELPED RYAN AND I IN SO MANY WAYS. Stress

Well, we are off to the surgeon's office today. I really dont want to see him but the speech therapist suggested it. Maybe he will help facilitate appointments to U of Chicago. Tomorrow is the Upper GI test and then the Easter Seals doctor. Busy week. Looking forward to the weekend. Can you believe that Halloween is almost here. Ryan is so funny. Just the way he swings his arms when walking. Like he is king of the world. He is climbing all over the place. Its a fight now to get him to brush his teeth. He did better with that 6 months ago. Im sure it was fun then now its boring. He throws a fit when I start to brush them for him. He just wants to suck on the toothbrush to get the paste off. Nothing else to report. His little tummy is still bloated and he cries sometimes like it hurts. The hole where his feeding tube was is now pushed out some. It was inverted. I think this is from the hernia. Ill keep ya posted regarding all the appointment.

Nice Weekend

I had a great weekend. It was relaxing and fun. Ryan was such a good boy. We hung out and went on a dinner date Saturday. WE saw a dog and kept telling him to say "Hi Puppy". We went to Walmart and he started saying "HI Puppy". Sunday we got up and took a walk then played and read the paper. He took a great nap and so did I. We visited with the neighbors. When Ryan wants something he points and grunts. That is starting to get on my nerves so I told him to say "More Please". I was on the phone and he kept saying "More Please" and I caught the end of him saying that. I yelled Yippeeeee!!!! He hasnt said it since. I know he can say more than he does. He took a good long hot bath and played, we got pj's on and read books. He slept from 700pm to 630am. He was in a pretty good mood.

We did spend the evening in the ER last thursday. They told me everything was normal(xrays). Then I got a call late Friday that the Chest xray said his hernia is worse and that he needed a upper GI xray. So we are scheduled for that on Wednesday. I also was told his abdominal xray showed a calcification in his abdomen. I talked with the nurse this am and told her he has been choking, coughing, gagging, his stomach is distended. I feel so bad for him. He has been in a good mood but then he cries and acts like something hurts him. I am so fed up with the doctors at this point. I want to have him referred back to the University of Chicago. I cannot stand to have him like this. It is not normal or healthy. If he must have surgery, I refuse to have it done in Peoria. There is definately a listening problem here. Anyway, Its annoying and I wont sit back and let Ryan be like this. No matter what it takes. I will not have it. So right now Im waiting. We see the Easter Seals doctor on Wednesday and I will be talking to him about this also. Im a little stressed out right now. My neck and shoulders are killing me. Some anxiety but I am lucky because Ryan is so good. He is a sweet boy.

Ryan is cold!!!!

Ryan woke up last night cold. I even had the heat on and his giraffe pj's. So I took him into my bed and covered him with his blanket and my blankets. He was laying on my chest and the kid was out!!!!! Sawing logs, people!! I put him back in his own bed at 200am. Last night I dont think either of us got a good sleep. Maybe tonight.

All is fine. Im getting anxious about his pending surgery. Im really starting to freak. Im going to see the surgeon again to talk with him and ask some more questions to just make sure.

Ryan has been having more problems with reflux and cough. Sometimes it sounds like he drowning in his own saliva. Its working my nerves. Im ready to head back to U of Chicago and have real pediatric specialists see him. These idiot peds doctors around here are awful. I do like his orthopedic surgeon but for the GI doctors. They suck!!!!!!!!!! With a capital S.

Its almost friday and that is so exciting. WE are doing a few things this weekend to spend time together and I need to get some outdoor stuff inside.

Its fall

Finally, It's going to get cooler and stay cooler. Thank goodness. Ryan is doing well. He slept great last night. The last two mornings he has been in a fabulous mood. He has been running away and hiding from me if he gets in trouble or doesnt want to do something. He thinks if he covers his face with his hands that I cant see him. It is hysterical. Maybe I play "Where's Ryan" to much. He really thinks I cant see him.

His hair is growing. I cant believe how quickly in just 2 days its grown. I wont take long for it to be back where it was. I will have to get new clippers so that guard wont fall off anymore. He does have a nice shaped head though.

Oma and Opa are leaving this week for Florida. Lucky them. I remember last year when they went, Ryan didnt recognize Oma and had to warm up to her. He will know this year.

Not much planned for the weekend. He have a early morning errand on Saturday and I might want to go to Farmington on Saturday to see if there is anything I want at Spoon River Drive. A certain booth is my favorite. Usually all the good stuff is gone the first weekend. Its suppose to be nice so Ryan and I will venture that way. Might go to a cook out that night and Sunday alot of nothing. I always save Sundays for nothing. Those are our family day. To do what we want when we want.

Happy Weekend

Im tired. I cant even stay awake at my desk. Ohhhh, sleepy!!!! Get through today and then it friday. Not much happening. Just got my DVR last night. I need to get it hooke up tonight. I cant wait to use it. Can you believe its going to be high 80's for like 3-4 days. Sick of that. Not much happening this weekend. Have to volunteer at church and then we are resting and playing. Ryan is well, attitude and all. Hitting alot lately!!!! Slept better last night. I got laundry done so I wont have to do it on the weekend. Hopefully he gets a good nap today at school.

Surgery Set

Ryan's surgery will be on November 8th. We have to be there bright and early. We have to spend the night. YUCK!!!!! I can already smell that place. I cringe thinking of having to stay there again. He will have a pin in his foot and the cast will be up to his crotch. At 3 weeks post-op we go see the Doc and have the cast removed and pin taken out then he gets a water proof cast for another 3 weeks. So we will be playing and doing alot of stuff this month. Glad that its after halloween. I'll have to get pictures done this month and get prepared. We wont be doing alot or anything the month of November. He shou.ld be back in full force by February. I hope. Therapy will start again in January. Thats all for now.

Not the news I wanted

Well, Ryan is having surgery again. This time to release some tendons in his right foot. This should help him not walk on the side of his foot. Casts for 6 weeks and no walking for 3 weeks. Ok, can someone let me know how that is going to be done. How do you keep a 17 month old from not walking. Although it might hurt to walk the first few weeks. I hope this helps his foot. The good part is that he doesnt have to wear a brace anymore. Dr. doesnt think it helps. So just shoes until surgery. Man do I need a vacation.
The weather is good and Ryan and I are doing the least amount possible this weekend. I need some down time to veg. I feel old, look old, and am probably a good candidate for a stroke at this point.

Ok, so Im over working right now. Im tired and I need a break from everything. I wish I came from a big family that got together alot. I feel bad for Ryan because he will have to grow up without alot of family around. Oh well. I guess I can hope one day that if I ever get married he will have a huge family that has alot of gatherings and such.

Ryan was in a good mood this am. He was up and at em' at 5:00am. Ate breakfast and was ready to head out the door. Cant say how he'll be tonight. Maybe he will take a nap as soon as we get home because I am going to also.

Very Busy Weekend

Well, the weekend was fast and furious. I worked a few hours on saturday and went to get milk and Ryan needed shoe's for his child blessing. Went home and hung out for a while. Was leaving for church and my car didnt even make it a block and it died. OH, Im sick of things always going wrong. Sunday, Ryan was blessed at church and that went well. I felt very stressed out and my patients in the last few days have been short. Afterwards we all went to my house and had lunch. Ryan had a birthday party to attend at 3pm. He didnt get a good nap but was good at the party. We went on a hayrack ride and had cake then it was time to leave. I put him straight into the bathtub and in pj's and we cuddled until he fell asleep. He has a runny nose right now and I think just feeling like himself. He might be working on some more teeth. He is chewing on everything. So now its Monday and I am looking forward to this weekend as we have no plans. Church and hanging out. Might invite some kids over to play. Our neighbor is having surgery Thursday so will have to check on them. Maybe take something over. Thank you to Oma, Opa, Nana, Uncle Benji and Aunt Lindsay for being at Ryan's child blessing. It was a special day.

Older today

Ryan is officially 17 months today. Wow, he has grown so fast. I have to say he looks so cute today in his shorts and shirt. His short are really long basketball shorts. Too Cute!!!!! Not much planned for this weekend except that he will be dedicated on Sunday. Otherwise just hanging around. Then the last weekend of September, No Plans. Oh, I love the sound of that. Glad its Friday? Me too!!

Ohhhhhhh

Im tired. So tired. Ryan went back to school today. He's doing good. Had a visit to Easter Seals this am. His foot seems to be turning in worse. Stephanie, his therapist, made some adjustments and he will have to wear the brace to bed now. That may not go so well. I let ya know. If I continue to be tired then its a problem. I know have to wear something on my foot at night would drive me crazy.
He has been in a pretty good mood. The whining has went away for the moment. Thank god!!!!!
Work is well, Work. Boring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Always ready for the weekend. Not much else happening. Big Brother finale is tonight so come 8pm, Ill be busy. Dont call.

Infection

Ryan has peri orbital cellulitis. Its an infection in and around his eye. Lord, I tell ya. The things this kid gets. He has eye drops and a oral antibiotic. He's doing fine. I garage saled this weekend and I got a ton of stuff. My step sister Lindsay came into town and went with me. It was fun. She's a blast!!!!!!!! I really enjoy being around her. Ryan stayed at Oma and Opa's and then I picked him up and went home. Thats when his eye looked bad. I gave him a bath and I called the nursing line at OSF. We talked awhile and the nurse said the on call doctor wanted him seen at peds after hours. Thats whats so nice. Instead of having to go to the ER or PromptCare, they provide a late night service on week nights and weekends. Just so happen that Ryan's pediatrician was working the clinic Saturday night. We had a 9:00pm appt. I suppose most of you cannot say that. His eye looked better but she told me the news and we were off to the pharmacy.
Yesterday, we went to Tanners and got apples, pumpkins and played for awhile. Took an afternoon nap, watched Big Brother and the Emmy's and it was bed time.
Now its Monday. Yuck!!!!

New food

Ryan actually ate Ceasar Salad last night. At first he spit it out but then he wanted more. I put a little on his plate and he kept wanting more. I was shocked. He used to like Salmon but lately has been spitting it out. Its so weird to see how much our tastes change. I remember hating Ceasar salad, wing, etc.... Love them now. I cannot get over how cranky he has been. Im losing my patients. I guess he's just tired and he does have a runny nose. Anyway, thats all. Maybe Ill push him to nap today. Later all!!!!!!!

Bad Mother

Well, I cant seem to do anything right this week. Last night I smashed Ryan's finger in the screen door. I kinda freaked out at first but then I ran it under cold water and called OSF. It's not broke and it doesnt even look like anything happened to it today. I felt so bad. Otherwise, he is doing fine. Kinda whiney. He's been sleeping well but was cranky this morning. He finally ate some stupid pears for me. I just left them and finally he ate them. He is trying to get away with me getting what he wants to eat. Smart little turd!!!!!
Today Im giving blood for the OHACI blood drive. Eating my protein right now.

Hope everyone is enjoying the cool weather. Its fantastic. Im hoping Ryan wont be so tired that we can get to the football game this Friday. Saturday we are hitting more garage sales and church. Oliver and Victoria may come for a visit sometime over the weekend. Ryan would be so excited to play with the twins.

New toys

Ryan got some new toys over the weekend. Garage Sales galore!!! He now has a Indy race care he can ride in. I push it around. He will only get use out of it for this fall because he's almost outgrown it. He's such a big kid so not much will last as far as little toys. For 3 dollars we will use it for the season and pass it on. He also got a tractor that he can pedal. It has a scoop and will help develope his legs when he can pedal and reach the pedals. He got a little tikes thing you climbs on and there is a double slide. It also has a tunnel. Susan my friend from work found while out at garage sales. He also got some toys from her and she found a unused tuxedo with tails. It fits him right now and she thought I could take some great pictures in it. It is adorable. He also got a baseball tee and bat. He carries the bat around like its his best friend. I love garage sales. Its the best for toys. They grow out of the stuff so fast. The next thing on his list is a swing set. I have such a big yard and its so bare.

The benefit went well and was alot of fun. The food was awesome and so were all the baked goods. Lorey thinks I won something, so thats a plus.

Ryan and I took a 3 hour nap on Sunday. I was tired!!!

This morning I won $38 on a radio station contest. Its called beat the pump. Thats a whole tank of gas. It came at the right time. I needed it. Not much going on this week. Looking forward to the weekend as always. Will garage sale a little on Saturday and enjoy the rest of the weekend. We didnt make it to church this past weekend so its a must this coming weekend. Ryan will be dedicated on the 23rd. I have to figure out what he is going to wear. I have know idea. Not the tux. I think thats a little overboard. Depend on the weather. Im ready for 70 during the day and 60 at night. Its been so humid.

Ryan fell down the stairs to the garage this morning. Know broken bones but has a bruise and scrape above his right eye. Grandparents day was today at school. Donuts and coffee for Oma and Opa. I suppose it was boring since Ryan is so little. His fundraiser was good and he raised alot of money. Yippeeeeee!

Busy Weekend

Its friday and Im excited and Im sure Ryan is also. We have to be at my friend Angie's inbetween 7-730am tomorrow. I have some stuff Im going to put in her garage sale. I hope it all sells that way I dont have to drag the stuff home. I also hope to find some big items I want for Ryan. Then we are going to head to Pekin to visit my friend Pamela and Madalyn. She is almost 2 weeks old now and I havent seen her but in a picture. Then we are heading to the benefit for Lorey and the kids. Hopefully it is a success. I know alot of people have been working very hard and I hope all the effort pays off for Lorey. This is a very stressful time for her and her family. I keep them in my thoughts all the time. So its going to be busy and Sunday, although we need to go to church, I might stay home and relax. I need to mow the yard sometime. Im trying to not spend money in all this. Money has been so tight lately. Im sick of it. I am tired of waiting for child support. I am going to have to light a large flame under the lawyers ass to get things going. I have to have support coming in. Its awful living with nervousness hoping I have enough gas to get back and forth. I like my job but Its not cutting it financially. Im going to have to make some decisions soon. OH, frunstrating. All I know is that I love where Im living and I will not move. I really dont want to have to leave my job either but financially I continue.

Anyway, Ryan has been better the last few days. I was whiney this morning but hopefully each day is better than the next. We read books last night and played and both went to bed early. Ill tell ya I still didnt want to get up this morning. Im ready for 330pm to go home.

Sickness

Well, Ryan was sick last week. He was running high fever for several days. He is still not himself. He is cranky and sleeping alot. Not much to report. He did get a toy box this weekend. We went to church and that was about it. We spent alot of time at home. It was nice except for his attitude. Hopefully he will start feeling better soon.

My brothers family got a new puppy. His name is Trooper. I cant wait to see him. Ryan will be thrilled. Makes me want to have a puppy.

OK. I WAS WATERING THE TOMATO PLANT AND A THING FROM AFRICA STARTED WALKING ALONG THE BRANCHES. OH MY. I FREAKED. THIS THING LOOKED LIKE ET WITH A LONG ROUND BODY AND IT WAS FUNKY. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT. WEIRD.

SO RYAN AND I HEADED TO THE FRONT YARD TO PLAY. HE HAS A THING WITH WANTING TO GO OUT IN THE STREET. SO EVERY TIME HE HEADS THAT WAY HE ENDS UP THROWING A FIT BECAUSE I OBVIOUSLY WONT LET HIM IN THE STREET. NOW THAT HE HAS A BUDDY IN THE NEIGHBOR HE HEADS FOR THEIR HOUSE NOW. HE DIDNT FORGET. I WAS SO TIRED LAST NIGHT. HE SLEPT FROM 700PM TO 615AM. WOW.

MONDAY

I DIDNT WORK MONDAY. TOOK RYAN TO SCHOOL AND CAME HOME TO SLEEP. PICKED HIM UP AROUND 400PM. PAMELA MY FRIEND FROM WORK CALLED ABOUT 230AM ON MONDAY SAYING SHE THOUGHT SHE WAS IN LABOR. SHE WENT TO THE HOSPITAL AND SHE CALLED ME ABOUT 300PM AND SHE HAD HER BABY GIRL.

MADALYN GRACE PICHON, 8 LBS. 9OZ, 20 INCHES LONG, LOTS OF DARK HAIR AND IVE HEARD SHE LOOKS LIKE RODNEY. RYAN AND I GET TO MEET HER ON SATURDAY WHEN WE GO VISIT PAMELA AT HOME. EVERYONE IS DOING WELL. LOOKING FORWARD TO SATURDAY.

SUNDAY

WE DIDNT DO A WHOLE LOT ON SUNDAY. WE CALLED TRACY TO SEE IF HER AND BROOKLYN WANTED TO MEET US AT THE PARK. THEY WERE BUSY AND I TOLD THEM WE WOULD COME TO CHILLICOTHE AGAIN SOON. SO I TOOK RYAN TO THE PARK AND HE WENT DOWN THE SLIDES SEVERAL TIMES. HE DOESNT HAVE THE HANG OF IT YET. HE ALWAYS FALLS BACK AND TRIES TO STOP HIMSELF WITH HIS FEET. WE PLAYED A LITTLE THEN WENT HOME TO TAKE A NAP. WE PLAYED LATER AND WENT FOR A WALK. THE NEIGHBORS ACROSS MY BIG SIDE YARD WERE OUT. HIS NAME IS DAVE AND I CANT REMEMBER HER NAME. SO SWEET. THEY ARE JUST NICE PEOPLE. THEY HAVE LIVED THERE FOR 30 YEARS AND ALL THEIR KIDS ARE GROWN AND THEY HAVE SEVERAL GRAND KIDS. DAVE AND RYAN HIT IT OFF. THEY PLAYED BALL AND RYAN JUST REALLY LIKED HIM. HE GIGGLED AND LAUGHED. IT WAS FUN. THEY HAD A LITTLE ROCKING CHAIR OUTSIDE THAT RYAN COULD SIT IN. HE ROCKED AND LISTENED TO US TALK FOR A LONG TIME. KATHY, ANOTHER NEIGHBOR FROM ACROSS THE STREET, BROUGHT CUCUMBERS OVER. WE GOT TO TALKING ABOUT RYAN'S FEET AND SHE WORKS AT EASTER SEALS. SMALL WORLD. IT WAS ANOTHER REMINDER OF WHY I LIKE LIVING IN PRINCEVILLE. WE ALL VISITED FOR AWHILE AND THEN I HAD TO GET RYAN IN THE BATHTUB. HE HAD CHOCOLATE PUDDING FOR DINNER AND IT WAS EVERYWHERE. I LET THE NEIGHBORS KNOW THAT I GENERALLY DONT ALLOW HIM TO WALK AROUND A FILTHY MESS BUT WE WERE JUST GOING TO PLAY AND THEN GET HIM CLEANED UP. WE HAD A GREAT WEEKEND EVEN THOUGH SUNDAY I WASNT FEELING UP TO MUCH. I HAVE A VERY SORE THROAT AND MY LEFT EAR IS PAINFUL. HOPE EVERYONE ELSE'S WEEKEND WAS AS GOOD AS OURS.

WASNT IT NICE TO HAVE GOOD WEATHER OVER THE WEEKEND? RYAN AND I WENT TO MY HIGH SCHOOL FRIEND (ANGIE) HOUSE FOR JULIA'S ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY. RYAN WAS NOT SHY AT ALL. HE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. HE PLAYED AND WAS GREAT. I HAD A BLAST ALSO. IT WAS VERY RELAXING AND IT WAS GOOD TO SEE ANGIE, SHAWN AND THE KIDS. I HAD NEVER BEEN TO THERE HOUSE AND THEY HAVE LIVED THERE ALMOST 10 YEARS. THATS A PROBLEM. JEEZ. MARLIE AND CAMERON WERE THERE ALSO. IT WAS WONDERFUL TO SEE THEM ALSO. CAMERON IS JUST LIKE MARLIE. SHE IS SO CUTE WITH A SWEET PERSONALITY. RYAN WAS EXHAUSTED AFTER THE PARTY AND TOOK A LONG NAP. WE PLAYED OUTSIDE A LITTLE AND THEN IT WAS BED TIME. TAKE CARE EVERYONE.

Walking and talking

Well, Ryan is officially walk by himself. He walks better with the brace but none the less is walking. It is weird to see him standing and moving all over the place. I'm really missing the baby I had 16 short months ago. Today is his 16month bday. Man, Its gone by fast. He stayed at Oma and Opa's this weekend. I went to Iowa with April and the kids. We went to fun city. I had a good time and I think the kids did also. We went swimming and played in the arcade. We went bowling and played laser tag. That was a blast. The go-karts were fun also. I got Jakob once and spun him around. I felt bad. By Sunday I was ready to be home as I think April and the kids were also. Ryan initially gave me a hug but it took awhile for him to warm up to me. He must have been mad that I left him, although its probably because he is spoiled at Oma and Opa's house. He has been attached to my legs since Sunday. Cries when I leave him at school. We went out to dinner last night. He had attitude the whole time. He wanted to play the arcade game and it was time to go. He threw a small fit. Not much planned for this weekend. A friend of mine little girl is turning 1. I'm going to take Ryan over to play. Hopefully I get to visit with Angie. WE are staying home otherwise. I need to mow the lawn if it stops raining. I'm still so ready for fall. I need to get a mum for the front porch. Ryan wore his new Shrek pj's last night. They are to big but they looked really cute on him. He liked them also. He pointed and laughed at Shrek on his belly.

HOT, HOT, HOT. IM READY FOR FALL

OK, ITS HOT. IM TIRED OF IT AND IM READY FOR FALL. MY BAD ATTITUDE COMES FROM MY AIR CONDITIONER NOT WORKING PROPERLY. LAST NIGHT AFTER I PICKED UP RYAN I NOTICED THAT IT WAS NOT COOL AND I CHECKED ALL THE REGISTERS TO SEE IF COOL AIR WAS COMING OUT. NOPE!!!!! SO I CALLED AND HE TOLD ME TO SHUT OFF THE AIR AND LET THE FAN RUN. IT WAS AN HOUR BEFORE HE SHOWED UP AND IT WAS HOT AND RYAN WAS SWEATING WHILE HE WAS SLEEPING. HE TOLD THAT HE HAD TO PUT FREON(SP) AND IT SHOULD WORK NOW. YUP, I WORKED FOR LESS THAN 12 HOURS. THIS MORNING SAME THING. CALLED AGAIN AND IM STILL WAITING TO HEAR WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON. NEEDLESS TO SAY IF I GO HOME AND ITS NOT RUNNING PROPERLY IM GOING TO NOT BE HAPPY. THE OWNER AND MAITENANCE GUY ARE HOPING IT LAST UNTIL FALL. EASY FOR THEM TO SAY WHEN THEY ARE IN THEIR COOL HOUSES RELAXING. AND IF THEIR CILCO BILL IS TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ITS BECAUSE THEY CAN CONTROL IT AND CHOOSE NOT TOO. MINE'S BECAUSE IT NOT EFFICIENT. THATS THE REASON IT SUCKS TO RENT BUT I DO LIKE THE PLACE IM IN. THEY NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER.
RYAN IS WALKING MORE AND MORE EACH DAY. THE BRACE IS SO MUCH BETTER AFTER EASTER SEALS ADJUSTED IT. HIS FOOT IS FLATTER AND HE IS REALLY WALKING FURTHER EVERYDAY. ITS VERY ODD TO HAD THIS LITTLE MUNCHKIN WALK AROUND THE CORNER. ITS SO WEIRD. HE'S GOING TO BE 18 TOMORROW AND ITS GOING TO SUCK. I NEED TO FIND A MAN NOW AND GET MARRIED AND HAVE MORE BABIES.

Hi, Hope all had a nice weekend. We spent Saturday in Rushville for the boys birthday celebration. Ryan really enjoyed the chocolate cupcake. I took alot of pictures and will be sending them out today. We hung out at home on Sunday. Yesterday we spent time at Easter Seals. His brace needed re-adjustment and we got new shoes. Smaller one's. He is doing much better with the adjustment and shoes. This weekend is fun city. Ryan is staying at Oma's and I will be heading to Iowa to meet April and the kids. Its going to be fun. Not much else to report. Work is Work and the days dont differ much. Hope you week is fast and I sure hope it cools down. Im over summer and ready for fall. Take care

What a nice week

Ryan has been so funny lately. He cracks me up. Over the weekend he played so good. We didnt do alot because its so hot and he has a rash. Its on his right side and on his arm. I was told its eczema. I dont know. I think the doctor is cracked out but who am I to say any different. So we have cream to put on it and we have to use Eucerin lotion. So now I dont have that smell of fresh baby. Oh, I miss it already. Ryan got his brace and new shoes from Easter seals this week. He took 12 steps in a row. He is doing GREAT!!! We are going back in 2 weeks and going to get in the pool for therapy. He tends to be a rock in water so I want to get him to kick his legs and this will be good toning for his leg muscles. I am really getting to understand how low his muscle tone is. He is strong but there are times he just cant hold him self. I makes me feel sad sometimes but he works hard and hopefully will just keep trudging along.

WELL, Ryan has said his first word other than MAMA and dada. He is now saying "ME", over and over. Its funny. It did sound like he said ELMO yesterday. I dont know.

He is funny. He is playing and laughing and is more social it seem in the last few weeks. Even towards strangers.

He is dancing great now. He picks his legs up and shakes his booty. Its hysterical.

We are going to my bothers this weekend for Jakob and Jordan's birthday. I cant believe they are 9 years old. I has gone so fast.

It also means its been 9 years since my dad passed away. I miss him alot. I think about how he would be a great grandpa. He would teach Ryan how to fish and work on things and I just know he would be fantastics and the kids would love him. I really think he would be a push over. I know he would have enjoyed every moment of having his grandkids around. Thats the only thing I wish that was different. I really want Ryan to be able to know his Grandpa. Ill do my best in telling stories. Oh, How I miss him and him calling me Punkin.


Well, today Ryan was so excited to go to school. When I asked him last night if he wanted to go to school he headed for the door. Ill have to watch saying that if its not time. I dont want any fits. His early moring friend was there and they both plopped on the floor and started playing. Im so glad he enjoys the new daycare. It makes it much easier on me. I should have taken him out of the other one faster than I did.

Well, I hope everyone is staying cool. Have a good rest of the week and weekend. I am no longer putting pictures on this because for some reason they wont load anymore. So Im sending them out on KodakEasyShare. If you are not getting them let me know so that I can check to make sure you are on that list. I will hopefully have some new pictures next week to share.

Oh, Please keep my friends Brad and Karen in your prayers. Brad is in the hospital with Liver and Kidney failure. They are stopping all treatments tomorrow. Unless his Liver starts working on his own he will not be able to be put on the transplant list. Its a high possibility that he wont be with us next week. We are hoping for a miracle that he has some liver function over the weekend. Keep him in your prayers and hopefully they are heard. Brad is only 46 and a great guy.

Also, September 8th their is a benefit for a friend from work. Her daughter was killed several weeks ago and left behind 2 small children. I will keep everyone posted to whats going to happen and all the details of the benefit. WE would like everyone to come out have fun and help raise money for these sweet boys: Kaden and Landon. Landon is 1 day older than Ryan.

Big week

Hey, hope all had a good weekend and stayed cool. We didnt do much this weekend. I always welcome that. Usually through the week its run, run , run. Ryan has been standing for longer periods of time. I make a big deal out of it to help encourage him to keep it up. I hope when we get his brace and tennis shoes tomorrow that its enough support to get him walking. He is making slow strides and Im happy with that. It beats thinking he wouldnt do any of this stuff. My only major concern now is speech. But Ive been surprised thus far. We played alot this weekend and Ryan was showing his temper. If he gets stuck he gets mad at the object. Usually he will push his car because he's mad at it. He got mad last night and threw his pacifier and a key chain so I acted just like him and he looked at me for a minute and then decided that was funny. He has been sleeping so good. Its fantastic. This morning he didnt pay me any attention when I left for work. He went right to the teachers and got the toys out. I think he missed school and was ready for a break from me. Jeez!!!! Anyway, Im so glad that he likes his new daycare and that he's sleeping there. He likes to play outside.

Well, we will be celebrating Jakob and Jordan's birthday this saturday. Having cake and ice cream. Hopefully the week goes fast and I hope it cools off soon. Im ready for fall.

Hi,

Well, Ryan is doing well. We didnt get his brace for his right foot yet. It was to big and had to be adjusted so he will get it on Tuesday. Im hoping it will help him with stability so that he will walk. He is trying to standing and has taken a step or two by himself. So its slowly happening. He has been sleeping really well and thank God. I think we plan on going to the pool again this weekend. I want to try to get him to kick his legs in the pool, maybe it will help build his muscles. All is going well, except for the Cilco bill. That damn thing. I cringe every time I open it. Oh well, It will be there the rest of my life.
I cant believe its August already. School is coming up fast for all the kids. Im sure parents are anxiously awaiting. I know I will be when Ryan gets to that age. Jakob and Jordans birthday are on the 14th. They will be 9. I hope thats right. On August 18th Eric, April and the kids and I are going to fun city in Iowa. My work is taking the employees up. You can stay the night for a discount and the ticket prices are discounted for all the attractions. I guess its a really good deal and lunch is included. Ryan is to young for this place so he's staying with Oma. It should be a blast and I cant wait to ride to Go Karts.

Its the end of the week already!!!

Well hello everyone. Im sure no one is probably reading this anymore but Ill write anyway. Its therapuetic for me. The week actually went very fast. ON thursday I thought it was wednesday. I was glad that it was thursday. Had a visitation last night for Heidi. It was a big visitation. Lorey (thats Heidi's mom) is so strong. I lost it and she's talking and just going on. I know it will be in the coming months that it will be very hard for her. The flowers on the casket were so beautiful. They were just pretty pinks, the daisy's, my favorite and roses. Oh, beautiful. There was a slide show of Heidi. I was ok until I saw her in the hospital holding her newborn. Ok, lost it. I just lost it. Well, today is the funeral.

So, Ryan is doing pretty well. He's been sick well for a long time now. Oh, I would say since birth. Its so frustrating. But he's a good boy. He took his first step last night.Yippeeee. He only has 3 months to walk otherwise we have to increase our visits to Easter Seals. I told him he has three months to get it together. So we will be spending alot of time on our feet. I need to get him to the pool. Maybe that will help strengthen his legs. He's been singing alot. We learned several new songs lately. Oh, table at breakfast he started flying his arm around and making a plane noise. It surprised me. He must have learned that a school. So Elmo is still his buddy and he got a zebra he can ride on and it plays music and makes sounds, I guess like a zebra. I wouldnt know what they sound like.

We actually have nothing planned this weekend. Which is nice because I need to save money. Christmas is coming soon and there are alot of big items on Ryan's list this year. He's definately out of the baby phase. He's liking the big items.

When he's walking Im going to transfer him to a big boy bed. His crib go to toddler then full size but Im skipping the toddler phase. Im going to full size and get the side rails. I wanted to do his room in Elmo but Im sure they dont make that in full size. So I will come up with something else. Pottery Barn Kids is what I truly want but my word is that crap expensive.

Well, hope all is well with everyone. Summer is winding down and Im truly looking to fall. I cant wait to go out and get pumpkins. I can remember taking Ryan there last year and putting him in the middle of the pumpkin patch. He was just a little pumpkin then. Now he's 15 months going on 21. Oh boy, how it flies.

Miserable Monday

Yuck, its Monday and not a good one. A girl I work with, daughter was killed early this morning by her ex-husband. Its horrible and I feel for this women. Her daughter was 26.

Not much else going on. Ryan is well with another tooth. Attitude flies at times. We had an episode in the bathtub last night. He got both hands smacked for continually trying to pull out his ear plugs. He cried when I left him at daycare today but he is doing well there and I hope that continues.

It's finally Friday

Hello all. Glad its friday. Not much going on here. Busy today. A friend at work is having a baby girl next month and we are having a shower today. We are just hanging out this weekend. Need to get to church. Its been awhile and Ryan is going to be dedicated in September and Im going to be baptised in August. I think church is a must. All is ok. Ryan has a sinus type thing going on. Nothing breathing well. Started on Antibiotic and breathing treatments. He was up for 1 1/2 hours last night. Finally he fell back to sleep. I was told by the doctor that its daycare making him sick. She also stated that this year would be worse then last because he's crawling/walking and putting his mouth on everything. GREAT!! Just what I wanted to hear. Ryan's immune system is just not very good. I did start him on vitamins hoping they would help out. Time will tell. I like the new daycare he is going to. Its very clean, relaxed, friendly and he actually sleeps there. Now its just the health issue. Well, I need to finish lunch and get the party set up. Hope you all are well and are having a good summer. It sure is going by fast. Christmas is already here. I know Im crazy. I need to start saving. Write again later.

New daycare

Well, Ryan started a new daycare on Monday. He has cried every morning so far. Its hard on me. I stomach has been in knots and Im very emotional. He did sleep 2 1/2 hours yesterday. That is a huge improvement from the last daycare. He didnt sleep at all. We have been coming home and playing awhile and then I sit and rock with him and he takes a little nap. We have dinner and play until 8-830 and its bedtime. He has slept throught the night and thank God for that. His schedule is off right now and probably will be for the next couple of weeks. I think he is in that stage that he wants me. Im sure that not knowing the teacher well is an issue also. It will take time. I hope I can hold up. Its such a beautiful day, sunny, and alot cooler. I think we will take a bike ride tonight. We did some art over the weekend and Ryan ate alot of crayons. His teeth were pink. He is using his spoons quite well now. He knows how to scoop things on it but it doesnt always make it to his mouth. I had a cookout on Saturday and all the kids came over. We went swimming and had a good time. Ryan and I didnt do anything on Sunday. We hung out all day. It was lovely. I am going to ride in a hot air balloon on Friday and am looking forward to it. Its suppose to last an hour. We are going to hang out at home this weekend and enjoy playing outside. May go to the pool. Trying to conserve money right now. Lots of things coming up(birthday, etc...and remember 6months til Christmas)

We are at the Tremont Turkey festival and Ryan loved the animals. He is looking at a kitten and he liked dog and turtles. He even got close to a bunny.

Summer flying by

Hello, Its been a while since posting. We have been sick. Ryan had a sinus infection and coughing for several weeks. We havent slept much. We rested all day on Saturday and it was so nice. Last night he did sleep through the night and it was great. I always wonder why Im still tired when I have gotten a full nights sleep.
Ryan had a great physical therapy session on tuesday. He is learning to be more confident and strengthen his leg to move from object to object with crawling or holding on. The therapist thought within the next couple of weeks he would obtain this goal. He crawls down the two steps to the garage and gets his bike out and walks it to the drive way. He's so old now. He's a big boy. He hasnt been eating all that well. Its hit and miss. But I think alot of us dont eat as well in summer when its so hot.
We are gearing up for the 4th of July. We are having a cookout. About 20 people so far. I got a slip and slide and Ryan has a small pool and our public pool is only a block away and its nice. Im sure it will be hot. I will have a house full spending the night and Ryan probably wont get a wink of sleep. Oh well, I want him to learn to enjoy the family/friend times. They dont happen often enough.
I took Ryan out of daycare for awhile. Oma and Opa have been watching him. He will go to a new daycare, Leaps and Bounds, on July 9th. Its 2 blocks from our house. I hope he likes it. I hope and pray.
He is really enjoying outside time and we will soon be visiting the local zoo. I have wanted to go for along time. He likes animals, especially dogs. He wants to pet them but doesnt want them to close. Its funny.

Tired

Oh, I wish Ryan would sleep. Im so tired. We had an uneventful stay at the hospital for his two day test. He was very loving and was patting me alot to give me comfort. The test conclusion was to increase his prevacid to help control acid. He has had a cough and cold like symptoms for 4 weeks now. Going to call the doctor today and I WANT A ANTIBIOTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My cousin Lisa had her baby on Tuesday, a boy but dont know the name yet. Ryan is imitating me alot nowadays. Its pretty funny. Other than that not much else going on. Hope you are all well, will write more later.

Ryan cried again today. He doesnt like the morning teacher. He has wanted to be on my hip alot lately. Must be a stage. Looking forward to the weekend as usual. Hoping to go swimming and have some fun. I want to relax. Well, busy at work so gotta go.

Well, Ryan officially cried when I left him at daycare today!!!! That sucks. They have changed some teachers and there is one that I dont think he likes. I went to give him to her one day and he wouldnt go. I will knock those teachers for a loop if they arent treating the kids correctly. I have already gotten a few fired and had major problems last summer. I hate daycare. If I could afford to pay for my own health insurance I would take the DCFS class and have a home based daycare and take on 3 or so kids. Jeez. Ryan is starting to feel better, he has been sick lately and the doctor put him on Zyrtec. It helps alittle. HOt this weekend and I think we are going to enjoy the local pool. Work has been very busy. Which isnt a bad thing. It makes the days go fast. Im so sick of not being able to put pictures on this any more. If I continue to not be able to I will change blogs or just send the pics..

Good Mood/Bad attitude

Well, Ryan has found his attitude. He already needs an adjustment at different times throughout the day. He has been throwing water on the floor at bath time and food all over the floor. I actually smacked his hand for the first time on Sunday and he laughed. I didnt smack hard that was probably the problem but Im sure it might get to that. I decided to get a mat and make a time out corner. Oh, he's going to be a nightmare.
Last night though he was in a great mood. He was from a nap and had dinner and we played and he was giggling like crazy. Then Oma, Opa, Grandma Nancy and Gary came over and played with Ryan. He was all laughs. He didnt go to bed until 945pm and slept until I woke him at 6am. Boy I wish it would have been a Saturday so we could have slept in longer. Oh well!!!! Well its only Tuesday. The days seem so long at work lately. Im kinda in the "I dont want to work mode." Ill have to get over that, fast. We dont have anything planned for the weekend. Its suppose to be hot. YUCK!! I think I might take Ryan to the pool. We havent been yet.
We have been practicing walking alot recently. He is pretty stiff legged but the physical therapist said he would for awhile. I am concerned because I hope he walks soon. He currently has know delay and I would like to keep it that way. I dont want to have to increase any therapy and such. He has come so far. Whats really good is that he hasnt been going to sleep with a pacifier. Yippee. Alot of times he throws it across the room or car. I dont retrieve them for him any more. He throws it, tooo bad!!!!

Sorry, still cant get pics. I will probably just email some. Ryan got a buzz cut over the weekend. I took the shears to his head. Its a little short but it does look cute. He looks like a marine. I thought it would be much cooler this summer. Ryan has a cold right now. He has been up a lot at night. Yuck!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im exhausted!!! Its been a long week and I am looking forward to the weekend even though we have alot of stuff to do.
We had 6 month evaluations at Easter Seals on Tuesday and Ryan is officially not behind any more. Yippeeee!!! He has done so well. Thanks God that early intervention is available or he would be really behind. He isnt walking by himself but walk behind things and is getting faster and can get into things a little easier now. He has had quite the attitude the last few days. He is throwing tantrums and doesnt want to give up his tooth brush. Other than that all is going well. I wish he were still a baby. It was so easy. Toddler age I dont think is going to be my best parenting area. Oh Well!!!! He is saying Thank you and yes. Im sure NO is in the near future since he seems to hear it alot.

Memorial Day 2007

Well, We had a good, fast and sick weekend. Drove to my brothers house on Friday. Ryan was in a good mood for only having less than one hour of sleep all day. Once he saw the kids thats it. He's in. Saturday the boys(Jakob/Jordan) had baseball games. They did really well. Jakob wasnt feeling well. Ryan, I think he had a good time. He found rocks and was watching the kids play. We went to Mcdonalds for lunch and went to my sister-in-law's(April) parents house. We hung out and then went to get some flowers for my dad's grave. We got a nice arrangement in a nice flower box. Once the flowers get nasty we can reuse the flower box. Then we went back to the house and hung out and had dinner. Jacked around for a while. I wasnt feeling well Saturday night so I went to bed and all night I was up and down. Nausea. Sunday, nausea. I was sick. Yuck!!!! I busted my butt to get home. It was awful. Ryan and I slept about 4 hours. It was awesome. I wish I could sleep like that every night. I did some laundry and put his bike trailor on my bike. Monday we went into Peoria and I ran some errands. I got a slip and slide and other junk. Bought some flowers and am going to plant those this weekend. So anyway hope your holiday was good and will write later.

Its Friday

Yippeeeeeee!!!! The weekend starts in 8 work hours for me. The car is packed and ready to go. Ryan kept looking at his high chair in the back seat, like what the heck is it doing here. Oh, and Elmo was sitting next to it so he is all confused. I must have upset him because he is pooping like crazy this morning. HAHA!!!! Looking forward to a few relaxing days and hope you all get them also. Enjoy your long weekend and wear your seat belt and dont speed and dont drink and drive.

Spaghetti

Well, I think Ryan's favorite food is spaghetti. He ate a ton of it last night. I don't think he even made a sound for like 20 minutes. Finally, He talked and when I looked his plate was empty and that's my cue for more. We have had a busy week. Work has been stressful for me. I have alot going on. I'm in charge of Relay for Life and we are doing a fundraiser. I was suppose to be helping out but Ive really gotten no help. Then I go home and do the normal stuff but I'm trying to get these stupid plant starts that someone gave me to live. They look like their dead but I keep watering them. So now its Thursday and I forgot to give daycare some thickener so I have to run out at lunch and get them some and get stuff for the fundraiser and get gas and go to the bank and get plastic for my stupid window that wont go up and theirs other stuff but Ill stop there. Ryan is doing well. He has been sneezing alot. Probably some allergies. Not sleeping good thru the night right now. I hope that changes soon. Otherwise Ill be going to bed at 730am also. We are getting everything packed up to take to Eric and Aprils. It feels like I'm taking the house. We are looking forward to the long weekend. Jakob and Jordan has ball games on Saturday. Ryan hasnt been to one since the same weekend last year. It so weird because he wont sleep thru the whole thing this year. He will want to get down and check out everything. The pools open this weekend. Yippee!!!! At our pool they have aerobics on Tues. and Thurs from 7-8pm. If I can find a sitter I might take the class. To bad they didn't have swim lessons at that time also. That would be perfect. So only 16 more work hours until the weekend. Yes, I'm counting down. I hope you all have a safe and fun filled holiday. It's only Tuesday

Ok, I am ready for the weekend. I feel like after only two days into the work week, Ive been here 5. I swear that people are, oh I dont know, like raising a bunch of kids. No one ever wants to go out of their way to do anything. Its so frustrating. I feel like I try to help in any way I can and maybe I need to change that. Im sick and damn tired of going above and beyond to help people out or causes and get nothing in return. I dont even mean for me just to help out different people that need it. It really pisses me off. Ok, well now Im done bitching. Ill get back to my work now.

Im really looking forward to having 3 days off. I need the break.
