Well, Ryan is home. We were discharged from OSF, late Saturday night. He is getting breathing treatments every 4 hours. I unfortunately had to take him to daycare today. I wanted to keep him out but I have to work. I missed almost all of last week. Not getting paid sucks. He is doing well. He has to have the treatments. He's on Antibiotic. We see Dr. Diane on Wednesday for a follow up check. He is very mommy oriented, right now. He was not having it at school this morning. I did check on him and he is doing good. They just gave him a treatment and said he was better with it. We did get outside yesterday. I wanted him to get some fresh air. Our neighbors came for a visit. We had a lot of visitors from church. It was very nice to see them.
Ryan does need to have surgery again for his reflux. They have to repair the hernia and redo the Nissen Fundoplication. That sucks. WE will have the surgery in Chicago. That hospital is nice. It's all private rooms and I like that if you try to take a child off the floor, the alarms sound, doors lock, elevators shut down. Each floor has a play area and then there's a huge playroom on the 1st floor. There's zones for each age group. They even have a medical area that has mini medical stuff. I loved playing in that area. We colored and Ryan met some friends. Josh showed us the ropes. He has been in the hospital for several months. He was burned severely. He doesn't have ears and the are stretching his skin, he has drains coming out of his skull. I'm not sure exactly what happened but I am grateful to have the issue's we have. There are so many that have it worse off. Anyway, Josh is a sweet boy and helped us out alot.
So we added a peds Cardiologist to the list of doctors. He is doing fine but want to keep an eye on him. I hope he will be better soon. I'm starting to cough and having chest tightness. I better getting my vitamins.
Saturday, March 8Th is the Easter Seals Telethon. Its on WMBD, channel 31 from 6-11pm. If your able to give please do. Ryan has been using their services for a long time now. That have been absolutely wonderful. Its a big telethon. Unfortunately, we aren't going to the telethon so you wont be able to see us on TV, but maybe in the years to come. Ill be asking all my friends, co-workers and family to help keep the programs going with a donations.
Hope everyone enjoyed the warm weather on Sunday. Have a good week.
Love,
Becky
