Well, Ryan was admitted to the hospital on Sunday morning. He was having difficulty breathing. It started out to be a great weekend. We went to our first Princeville football game on Friday. They won and we both had a nice time. Ryan got a sweatshirt and its a size 6-8 in kids, not even that big people. I was shocked. He was up in the middle of the night and couldnt breath through his nose. We went to a few garage sales saturday morning and was able to get some decent shirts and pants. Gymnastics was at 9am, and we had a blast. Ryan was a good listener. He seems to be right up the teachers butt. We will call that an over-achiever. LOL. He was the only kid that was good about following directions. I was proud. They have a mini high bar and parallell bars. Too Cute!!!!!! Then off to Oma/Opa's. Had lunch with Aunt Lindsay and went home. I did start increasing his breathing treatments on Friday night, I could hear the change in his breathing. Sunday, he woke up around 530am and was grunting. I thought he was playing around. Then I heard him panting and knew that we would be in the hospital. So I jumped out of bed, gave him a treatment, got dressed, got Ryan dressed, called the nurse line to let them know his respirations were 49 and they told me to bring him in. Within two hours he had 3 Albuterol treatments, one with Atrovent and steriods. The kids was shaking like crazy. He finally seemed better after 8 hours but if they didnt keep the treatments up at 4-6 hours he was back to the same old thing. He oxygen saturation at its lowest was 86. He's now at 92. Not sure if we are going home or not. May be here another night. Pediatrician doesnt want to push him. His history sucks for this kind of thing so, we will see. His heart rate is finally coming down.
I feel sick now, but am sure its due to lack of sleep. Have been talking to alot of people and one lady's grandson is dying. So sad. She talked about it so non-chalantly. I just listened and told her I was sorry. How awful.
Not much else to report. The steriods make Ryan hyper and then mean. Its like riding a roller coaster.
Take care and hope your holiday was a good one.
Love
